Lifelong magic fan. Teared up like a baby when the Tmac magic blew a 3-1 lead vs the pistons.
Mosley has gotten much better about not benching the hot hand, or putting in bums (Admiral, Okeke) at terrible times (ie: mid meltdown).
The end of season loses hurt but these youngin are gonna get a shit ton of experience in the post season regardless of how it ends. As long as we show heart vs Cleveland I’m happy with the season
Not many coaches are able to motivate their players to play hard like this team does. Many that do (like Thibs and even SVG) often end up being somewhat resented by their players eventually. These guys love Mosley though. You see how he treats them with respect and gives them an opportunity to thrive the players reciprocate and show their commitment. I think that’s special, and I hope that can last. Signing Mosley was one of the best things this FO has done for the rebuild.
I’ve been a fan since 94-95, Shaq and Penny era.
This season has been very special, especially after the drought of at least 14 years since we’ve had a team this good, that we can be this proud of. Locking up the 5 seed Sunday night made me feel like Andy Dufresne emerging from the sewage tunnel out of Shawshank. This is easily the most proud I’ve been to wear my Magic gear in public in over a decade.
When you think of historically great Magic teams, you may often think of defense, but typically interior-centric defensive squads such as those led by Shaq or Dwight. The perimeter defense the team plays under Mosley with the personnel on this roster has been a spectacle and a real joy to watch this year and quite a bit different in some ways than what we’ve seen in the past.
My favorite player is Banchero. Tough to not choose our budding Superstar, we haven’t had one in a while. Suggs is a close second.
The word I’d choose to describe the team is tenacious.
It’s just so damn nice to have things done the right way. No shortcuts, no quick fixes we legit could be in the mix for 7+more years with the core we have built. We have all of our picks everyone is on good contracts. As long as our main guys stay healthy we are gonna be competitive for a while. This is just the beginning
