Idk about that Nico line man. Not trying to shit on Russ but Nico was guarding 1-5, rebounding, keeping the ball moving and hitting big time shots during that 2021 run in a 30 MPG role. Idk if that’s really the type of stuff we should be relying on Russ for.

Russ is an awesome off-ball defender. Mann’s our POA guy but Russ will be flying everywhere making rotations and playing free safety. He’s really the perfect guy to cover Luka’s passing lanes.

Russ’s energy boosts the hell out of his defense. I wouldn’t have believed it until he became a Clipper and I watched him every game. When he was reverting to Laker Russ, I thought we’d win again when he went down. How little did I know. He really is key to this team.
