I watched a game where Wemby and the Spurs went up by 18 points and Wemby sat. The other team proceeded to take a 24 point lead while he was sitting LOL.

I understand record counts, but Wemby is soooo much better than anyone else defensively, you just can't do it. You can't give it to Rudy. If Wemby was only 10% better, then yeah. But Wemby is DESTROYING the league defensively. It's DPoY, not MVP. To me, MVP is where you really start to talk about wins and losses.

Even if Gobert wins 2024 DPOY this year, it will have an asterisk next to his name because he wasn’t 2024’s best defensive player.

Yeah Whimpy is DPOY, but not good enough on defense to have made the Spurs 1 single game better than last season with a Suppose Championship Coach in Overrated Popovich.
If it's just base on stats, not team wins and overall team Defensive, then A D should have 5 to 8 DPOY Awards.
