Guys… Dallas will not be asking him to be the Klay of old. He would be a spot up shooter on Dallas (think Ray Allen on the Heat). He shot 39% from 3 and shot the third most attempts in the league right behind Luka. Thats damn good considering the volume. Those numbers go way up on less attempts, but more quality looks playing off of Luka and Kyrie and not being asked to be the second option. I think he’d be an excellent vet with championship DNA if the price is right.
In my thinking in the Hardaway/Klay comparison (as far as value)…I see that there are things on the court that Hardaway can do that Klay can’t do or at least is not good at doing anymore or ever!!!
Hardaway is younger, healthier, more athletic, can put the ball on the floor and create much better than Klay (who if ever he creates…it’s just to shoot a jump shot)!!!
Now if all Klay will have to do is spot up while playing limited minutes…then ok, I can see it!!!
But, not at the expense of Hardaway!!! And Klay’s defense in nonexistent!!!

Considering the fact that they're already paying Tim hardaway to miss shots and our 3rd string bench I don't think it's smart for Dallas to pay another player that can barely do the bare minimum on the basketball court

Fuck no. Dallas doesn't need a cooked player that can't score a single point in a big game. Let him go somewhere irrelevant where he'll fit right in, because that's what Klay has become. We need a 4 not another guard. Ideally one that can play small ball 5. Basically someone who can fill in for PJ and Maxi when they need to rest.

At this point he is a downgrade from THJ, unless there is some magical effect to freeing himself of Draymond finally, and he starts hitting 74% threes or something cuz he's so happy hugging Kyrie and Luka after every game.
Honestly I'll take a 34 35 ur old Klay over Timmy brickaway even tho Klay had a horrible play-in game I have faith he would be a reliable 4 or 5th option but mostly spot up 3s.

Klay is one of the greatest shooters of all time, AND he's a defender with dynasty DNA. Anything is an upgrade over THJ guys seriously.
As soon as I typed that last statement, I look up and noticed a THJ/Klay side-by-side comparison. The pod's on mute as I'm watching Mavs – Suns from 2/22.

Right now, Klay to the Mavs feels like I first felt about Kyrie coming here: it'd be exciting, and I would like it, but won't love it.
Then again, Kyrie made me love that trade with time; Klay might make it so to, if the deal makes sense
