Earliest he is going to be back is game 3 or 4 but I wouldn’t be surprised if he is out for the first round. Most likely will be back in the second round if the clippers get past the mavs without him

Kawhi averaged the most minutes of his career this year. That was a bad mistake. Not only did he average more minutes than ever but he played out of position at the 4 which is more taxing on his body.
The Clips must enforce the Tim Duncan rule with Kawhi next season. When Duncan started getting older, the Spurs would play him only 28 minutes a game in the regular season. Also, Kawhi must be moved back to the 3 next year.

Kawhi needs to be viewed as a luxury 6th man type of player. Only Ballmer can afford that salary for that role. Don’t play him for the final 30% of the season, keep him healthy for playoffs.
