The Brooklyn Nets Downfall Documentary

The Brooklyn Nets had a very promising team with a trio of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant & James Harden. They all excelled with the ball in their hands & complimented each other beautifully. Sean Marks, the general manager of the Nets, had assembled this super team after building a strong & exuberant culture full of promising young players all led by the tutelage of Kenny Atkinson.

But as soon as KD & Kyrie were signed to Brooklyn, clashing dynamics would soon show itself between the eccentric stars & the Nets brass. Joe Tsai & Kyrie Irving did not have a great relationship. It was said that Steve Nash was hired at the behest of the star players’ request. Harden was traded to the Nets at the behest of the star players’ request. But a combination of bad injury luck & drama-filled controversies would cloud the Nets super teams’ hopes of winning a NBA title.

Soon after, the stars were traded to different teams. But the front office did a poor job of picking up the pieces of the mess they inherited. With a lackluster roster set to lose this year’s lottery pick because of the Harden trade, the Brooklyn Nets’ future is doomed to repeat itself like it did after the Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett & Jason Terry trade in 2013. No control of their destiny, with the hopes of repeating history all over again.

    I remember watching the Raptors series way back in 2014. I was so disappointed I wantedToronto to win.
    they had everything to win in the upcoming years when they assembled the big 3, but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be

    The Brooklyn Nets are the exact representation of what happens when you give up too much to win now. And, the fact that they did it twice and the same results are happening shows to me that they were better off in New Jersey anyway or they should have at least kept most of the 2018-19 roster. This entire franchise now feels so plastic and I don't think the franchise is going to recover from this for a long while.

    Great vid. I think the suns are gonna have a similar story 2-3 years ahead. Promising years, new owner splurges for a win now move which backfires horribly resulting to star players leaving and no titles to show.
