Led by James Harden’s 28 points, 8 assists and 6 3pt. FGs, the LA Clippers defeat the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1, 109-97. Paul George (22 points, 6 rebounds, 4 3pt. FGs) and Ivica Zubac (20 points, 15 rebounds) added a combined 42 points in the victory, while Luka Doncic (33 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists) and Kyrie Irving (31 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists) combined for 64 points for the Mavericks in the losing effort. The Clippers lead the best-of-seven series, 1-0, with Game 2 taking place Tuesday, April 23 at 10:00 PM ET, TNT

Harden (3,665) passed Dirk Nowitzki for 17th on the NBA’s All-Time Playoff Scoring list

    Hardens ability to shoot from tough spots and drive to the basket with his left and facilitate the game for everyone while playing the high pick and roll is absolutely insane I don’t understand or appreciate the hate that he gets

    I want harden to play like him old self so bad people don’t realize when veterans or superstars get traded to stack teams they don’t feel the need to play like their prime anymore but it’s also sad to see them not go off like they use to

    😂 This is the difference between playing a team with Harden/Russ & Beverly/Rondo who got benched. Clippers didnt have anything close to what Harden brings.

    when LAC acquired James Harden, I said "Harden is their only hope". People were hating, called me casual, said the clippers doing fine without Harden and Harden ruined the perfectly good team. Hopefully now the casual understand, with Kawhi sitting on the bench.

    they single covered harden, havent seen that in a playoff game in forever. harden took 17 shots for 28 points and dished 8 times for 21 more. There was some good ball movement in the half court by the clippers, they will need a lot of that going forward. Mavs were not covering the corner 3 with their zone, credit Zubac doing all that damage down low.

    In this clip, Harden attacked a defender 12 times, and 7 of those were on Luka.

    If Luka doesn't improve defensively, it will cost him going forward, and the masses will claim that Luka doesn't have help when he is the one who can't stay in front of anyone.

    James is still James. The only thing that’s changed the past few years is that he hasn’t been the number one option. But when his number is called he’s still that dude. Remember last year when embid was out agaisnt Boston. He had 45 and 42.
