According to Knicks fans, these are different, and Donte definitely didn’t try to hurt Oubre.

man how is oubre gonna look so handsome even in the middle of ddv trying to alligator roll him.

I love that Oubre is already smiling as he’s falling to the floor.

  3. InspectorNS

Gotta love Oubre smiling like a super villain 🤣

It’s funny because we were pissed In the game thread when that happened. For like five minutes. Then we moved on.

Oubre straight smiling like “*record scratch* *freeze frame* Yep, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.”

knicks fans are a bunch of losers. most new yorkers are losers, the winners aren’t watching basketball and thats 90% of manhattan.

knicks fans trying to excuse the divincenzo foul could be a case study for the psychological concept of “cognitive dissonance.”

i am not a psychologist, but it’s when humans experience two similar events, but have contradictory feelings about them, so they alter their thinking to reconcile the contradiction.

in this case, oubre “deserved” divincenzo’s takedown because oubre incidentally struck divincenzo in the head while going over the top.

on the other hand, to knicks fans embiid is not a frustrated, competitive athlete, like divincenzo, but is instead basketball-hitler who wants to burn r/nba’s crops, and bring pestilence to their villages.

blind fandom makes people retarded (sorry for the hard r, but it’s true)

Well they were different, Robinson was in the air and Oubre wasn’t.

But yeah embiid stopped himself and went to actually help prevent something bad in the end and Donte did not stop.

So they are really different. Embiid was worse at the start but better at the end and Donte was not that bad but got worse.

I understand the hypocrisy but we can’t make any excuses for Embiid. He needs to cut the shit and not get any more flagrants. Need his ass in the game

  11. According to the Knicks fans I know, it’s warranted because Oubre tried to step over Donte. Whatever that means

In some way I kinda felt like Embiid was trying foul and to keep Robinson from jumping up and potentially landing on him. I’d probably do the same thing with a 260 dude jumping right next to me.

The difference is Embiid could have move away or rolled away but he moved towards grabbing Mitch’s ankles.

Oubre was still standing over Dvo like he’s gonna walk over him or taunt him.

Crazy how we aren’t crying in r/nba every five minutes about this shit unlike some other teams who shall remain unnamed.
