This guy runs an organization on the philosophy that they are better than the fanbase. Better than longtime Philadelphians. And it’s finally coming home to roost in the form of brokered dynamic ticket prices, stadium overrun with opponent fans, and tepid corporatism in place of pure passion in a playoff series against New York of all places.
And there are still people in this sub telling us Josh Harris is a great owner. Unreal.

If the Sixers are able to take the series back to Philly for a game 6, would fans in attendance be willing to start a “Fuck Josh Harris” chant? That would be amazing.
Josh Harris is a fucking scumbag who built his fortune by eliminating American blue collar jobs (see the Rexnord Corporation) and adding to the destruction of the middle class.
He is a bad person who doesn’t care about you, this team, or this city.

Josh Harris is a prime example of what happened after the passing of Ed Snider to the Flyers-it becomes a corporation and not an owner who cares. It took years of mediocre hockey and poor fan turnout for Comcast Spectacor to realize that they needed to fix something because it ultimately effected their bottom line and you saw a change this year when Dan Hilferty took over and hired a president (Keith Jones) who is in touch with the community and reality. The Sixers will succeed when you don’t show up. Whether it be Harris caring about the team more because he’s losing money (sidenot: he doesn’t and hasn’t cared about the Sixers since he got his new toy down in DC) or selling the team it is the only option we have as fans.
He sucks so bad. This guy owns 3 mediocre soulless teams in 3 different areas just for profit. He has no clue how to build a winning organization.
Josh Harris is truly the definition of a weasel
Let’s all remember that this is the guy who wants to build an arena downtown, and who will benefit the most from said arena if it gets built. Consider that fact before deciding how you feel about the proposal.
Josh Harris owns the Washington commanders and the New Jersey Devils with rooting interests, both opposite of Philadelphia. The Sixers are nothing more than a portfolio holding for him. He only cares about one thing- money in his pockets. The rest of us can pay up or get fucked for all he cares.
I’ve been saying this forever. The quality of an organization (literally any kind of human organization) depends upon the goals, mindset, and culture of the people. In this case, does the ownership care about Philly? Like, truly care about the city? If the answer is no, you’ll never have a fantastic sports franchise with that group. It might operate well, it might contain incentives to succeed, but is the success of Philadelphia itself inherently important or valuable to the ownership? No, it isn’t. You need someone else.
