I like Fred, but the Raptors are my second team. We overpaid him because we needed vets that would help set the pace for the youth movement. I could see him moving to the bench or getting far less minutes after All Star next year if Amen continues his progress. I doubt he finishes his contract here but he’s already done what we signed him for, turn around a losing culture.

I appreciate him a lot looking at the teams losing in the playoffs because they don’t have a point guard like Fred. Think of how much better Phoenix would be.

Watching the playoffs right now, the Suns, Pelicans, Lakers, Magic and Heat could all desperately use a player like Fred.
He was a steal for us, will pay dividends now and into the future with the development of our young guys.
