Im not mad at our guys, Maxey hit 2 insane shots and while we werent perfect, it was a one in a thousand situation.

It ain’t all on Hart’s FTs. I blame the 5 or 6 Brunson OT possessions that was fucked. 2 TOs the few bad misses and Brunson was wide open on a fast break and he gave it to a double teamed Hart. Lots of errors in OT.

As a team we shot a terrible 67% FT, though it was somewhat neutralized by them shooting only 68% (not that their ineptitude excuses ours). But they also beat us on the boards 46 REB to our 40, and they had 12 OREB to our 6. Then of course all the various mistakes late game.

Wish we won in OT then it could have just been like a fun thing to think back to like “phew that would have sucked”. That’s how I felt when we started OT 5-0. But this is an all time chokejob even if we win the series it will be played in highlights for years and years just like LJs 4 point play.
As a Giants fan it painfully reminds me of the meltdown in the meadowlands.

Don’t foul or give up a 3. If you’re going to foul make sure they don’t even get the shot off. Down 3 at the end and don’t foul? So many mistakes and of course the free throws.

No. Why is thibs allowing any play and not calling for a foul. Or drawing a play to end the game. Or subbing hart our knowing he’s a mediocre ft shooter. Thibs can’t be making these mistakes

it’s not just this. Mitch had the foul on the 4 point play. No foul to prevent a 3 going up. Deciding to abandon running any kind of offense and just spamming iso for pretty much the entire OT.
It was a lot of mistakes that added up to us losing the game
