You know, it truly feels like an end of an era of sorts… we’ve been “running it back” for what seems like forever. Last season was tough but this season has felt even tougher and more grindy. Not an ideal way to get out but I feel how I felt during the 06-07 season after D-Wade went down and this felt like the series against the Spurs in 2014. Outmatched, outplayed by an obviously stronger team. Game 2 was definitely an anomaly and while it felt good, definitely not sustainable.

Now, I don’t wanna think of what would happen if Butler and Rozier were playing but it is what it is. Obviously the injuries didn’t help but it’s part of the game. It sucks to lose and it especially sucks to lose to the Boston Celtics but props to them and their FO. They lost last year and re-tooled and came back harder with Porzingis, Holiday and their core all stepped up. Even with Butler, it would have been tough but without Butler, it’s just asking too much of our guys. As much as we hate them, they beat us thoroughly.

Let’s see what the Pat, Zo and Spo do in the offseason. I am actually not sure where we go from here. Maybe rebuild, maybe start fresh, probably not running it back I would assume. I won’t speculate what we will do but my 2 cents is that The Heat have been relying on their Defense for so long now but we need to keep up with the current pace of the NBA as well. Need to find some reliable scorers going forward. Easier said than done but need to do it.

As for us fans, let’s just enjoy the offseason. Spend time with family and friends and enjoy life. Take a break from basketball or watch the rest of the offseason, it’s totally up to you. We’ll see y’all next season!

Sometimes in life you get your ass kicked. Props to Boston. After Game 2, 3 straight ass whoopings. I hate Derrick White. Bam did what he could. We didn’t shoot well and nobody else truly played well for us. Never thought we had the horses and yup, it sure looked like it.

Team will go through proper changes this offseason. I think Herro’s time here is up. I hope we get **younger** *and* **bigger** this offseason. I want Mitchell. We’ll see if that’s possible. Time to enjoy the playoffs and see Jokic go back-to-back. See y’all for the draft.

We made playoff butler our personality trait and it got bad to the point where we thought we can win any series regardless of seed. Butler genuinely coasted all year and did nothing but side quests (shoutout fall out boys), spo experimented way to much with the rotations, and we had sat some guys for way to long (herro sitting until the final week, bam and butler rotating rest days, etc)

All this Only for butler to get hurt in an extra play in game that we honestly shouldn’t have been playing in if we actually gave a fuck this season. I understand resting, 100%. But you cannot coast a game and sit the next. The whole point is to go balls to the walls one game and rest the next

We also relied way too much on the development of creating herro into this ball dominant shot creator and creating bam into this 25+ point per game guy with insane defense. Just so much unrealistic expectations from these guys

Huge off season coming up. JJJ has to be moved if we want a star, but im sure that’s a hard sign off for spo and butler. They love him. Caleb, HH, Herro, JJJ, Duncan, and a few more may not be heat players next year. Which honestly is gonna be kinda sad to see. We also have to decide on rather or not butler will see that extension, because if not, then why even build around him anymore? Just so many huge decisions.

Maybe next year we will actually put effort into the regular season and better position ourselves come April.

Love all of y’all. Lots of bickering and shit going on in this sub but we all just wanna win

Onto the off season, let’s hope we make some changes and get some studs. Will see yall every step of the way.

    Let’s go heat

This franchise has banked on vet min and average players playing well above their means for so long now with all this culture shit but they’ve run it into the complete ground. TIME TO GET ACTUAL FUCKING TALENT AND DEPTH ON THIS TEAM.

  5. Own-Marsupial-4448

That was absolutely horrible!!! Don’t care if we’re down that bad, that was horrible to watch!!

  6. I’m gonna be brutally honest..I’m a bit relieved for this to finally be over because imo this will probably go down as one of the most frustrating and miserable seasons in Heat history, about as bad as 2021 I’d say. Anticlimatic off-season after the whole Dame saga,  terrible regular season with no good wins against playoff teams, blown opportunities to avoid the play-in and being wracked by injuries ALL YEAR. I’m not gonna call out certain players’ consistency because that last fact alone is reflected by all the makeshift lineups Spo had to put out there which really hurt team flow/identity. It also won’t help that these smug Celtics/Knicks/etc. fans will conveniently ignore all this to shit on us for this early playoff exit.

But take solace in this Heat Nation:

    * The young guys, JJJ and Jovic, show real potential and another successful pick in the draft will help the team’s future

    * A demoralizing season like this may FINALLY force some changes to be made and a hard reevaluation of the roster

    * I’m pretty confident after watching this series that any team in the West remaining right now (Nuggets, Timberwolves, Thunder, Clippers, Mavericks) will absolutely stomp the Celtics or any of the pretenders in the East

Here’s hoping for better times and better vibes next year!

    See you all in October

    Let’s go Heat

    Cheers Heat bros

ONTO an offseason where idk what the fuck gonna happen

  9. NickelNine99

If I see one more twitchy jump shot from Caleb next season I’m tuning out

“Herro is definitely getting traded for an upgrade. No way they can keep him after this.”

Season was over when Jimmy went down but shame we couldn’t be more competitve. Just too much of a talent deficit against the most stacked team in the league. Game 2 was fun. Recover and rebuild for next year.

  12. Consistent_Category9

I hate to say it, but I feel like Tyler’s days are done

  13. Harman3112

Well at least bam tried, happy he’s our franchise

  14. DrStrawhat

There’s no way we run it back right? We should have a revamped roster next year. We need it

  15. Phenom_Mv3

Wow look at Bam shaking hands with everyone what a bad dirty player

  16. midnight441

This was truly one of the worst playoff series I’ve watched from this team in my thirty years of living. Really hope some meaningful changes are made its frankly overdue.

  17. dmmeyourdogifitscute

Love Bam so much. Always gives it his all and never once complains. Hoping the organization can get a better team around him.

    July can’t come fast enough.

  18. MiamiPower

To my Miami Heat Bros 🫂  No JJJ, Jimmy or Rozier. Just a skeleton crew trying their best without key pieces.

  19. DevJames25

A Herro + Bam lead offense was 26th in offensive ratings in the regular season and worst in the playoffs. The FO HAS to realize this core has run it’s course and either go all in on Bam’s timeline or maximum what’s left of Jimmy.

Either way, Herro shouldn’t be on the roster next year. He got his money and a starting role but hasn’t improved since he’s 6th man of the year season.

  20. Bam_Adedebayo

This injured roster is the result of FO forcing Spo to make the most out of a shitty squad. If coaches were chefs and players were kitchen tools, this is like expecting a chef to cook a Michelin star meal with a razor blade and a microwave.

Other teams can coast at 80% during the regular season and still secure a playoff spot because they just have a better roster. Meanwhile, our team has to play 82 games all at 120% just to be in the playin. Jimmy is the only one who has the luxury to load manage.

How do you not expect them to be injured come playoff time? Our coach and conditioning is arguably the best, even other teams know that. It comes down to nothing but talent.

  21. background_action92

Time to build around Bam, it’s his team and we better not waste another window again

  22. YesImSleepie

im going to be called a doomer but i dont care at this point

This can’t continue. Jimmy butler is 34 going on 35. He cannot continue his playoff brilliance for long. I understand we went through this series without many key players but lets be real we just can’t keep relying on running this team back. Bam was fine, TYLER was not, oh my god. I keep being told that he will be a star and we should keep him as a core of this team and after every good game he has he will be great but I will not trust him anymore until he gets an all star appearance or a ring and even THEN I don’t think i can completely put my faith in him. He completely sunk his trade value no wonder Portland laughed at the idea. And some of yall said we were better off with Herro instead of Dame. Sure the injuries to Jimmy and our other pieces still happen but at least dame can be relied on for a decent playoff game, where for herro its like an anamoly.

We need changes, fast. We cannot keep running it back Jimmy is going to start exiting his prime this season or next. If we want to win with him, something needs to happen, and soon. We need a sizeable roster overhaul and importantly we need herro out. Or thats what I would say if he didnt completely tank his value.

I went into this series understanding that we barely had a chance with all our injuries. and i STILL feel disappointed.

    Heat 2025.

  23. PleasantSpeech

There was virtually no way to win the series but a lot of Spo’s rotations felt weird. Why, after the lineup on the floor missed like six straight shots to start the third, come back to them again? Why, in a thirty point blowout, would he not want to at least experiment with some crazy four-out-plus-Bam lineup? Why would he play Duncan with a bad back and pair him with Bryant instead of Love, the third-ish best shooter on the team who’s currently playable?

  24. noochies99

Enjoy a stress free playoffs y’all

  25. SenorButtmunch

Yeah, this should be it. Sad way for the team to go out but we did more with this core than some teams do in their entire history. Ultimately we’re paying the price for choosing to do nothing to build off the runs we’ve made. Injuries or not, this team is so far away from actual contenders like Boston and Denver. I don’t even think Riley will wanna run this back. There’s gotta be changes in the summer.

Sucks that Herro has proven he isn’t that guy. It’ll be tough to get major value out from him but something’s gotta give and I don’t see any other way around it. The real question is whether we can move him without losing JJJ or Jovic. I’m not sure we can if we truly wanna target Mitchell or someone. Lots of tough decisions to make this summer.

On the plus side, Bam has probably shown his most aggressive and complete offensive game in this series than he has in a long time. Yeah, it wasn’t the most effective but I’m a lot prouder of his efforts than I have been in past runs. He tried his best and didn’t shrink or give up. That’s all I’ve ever wanted from him and I think he deserves credit for that.

I’m not really one to blame any individuals or shit talk our team. We just weren’t good enough on all fronts and haven’t been healthy. I don’t think anyone expected anything else, so I’m not too bothered. It’s just a disappointing end for a team that has come so close to greatness, especially because the front office truly can’t say they’ve ever set the squad up to succeed. It took some miracles to achieve what we’ve achieved but you can’t wait on a miracle every time. We’re getting what we’ve deserved and it’s time to stop being naive enough to think we can succeed on development alone. Big summer ahead but we move.

  26. iCOULDbewr0ng

Meh I don’t feel anything about this 4-1 ending, we’re missing half our team.

One positive is the Celtics and their fans didn’t get that full revenge satisfaction since Miami is so injured.
