I did not see one legal Bam screen the whole of game 5. Every single time he got his feet in position he kicked his hips into the defender, shuffled his feet or wrapped them up with his upper body. Every. Single. Possession. He should have had at least 3 fouls 2 minutes in and would have been fouled out by quarter time, being generous.
Those refs were crazy, down the other end we could not buy a whistle on a drive and were getting called for offensive fouls and soft fouls on defense. I mean, the score never got close but damn the refs were really trying to push another game.
Its not hard to got him out of rhythm when dude has only one move or he just shoots 😀
How about setting screens that aren’t illegal? Ever thought of that?
Bam played well this series (besides the dozen illegal screens) but he has absolutely no bag – just that one mid range fadeaway which teams will give him all night long. He has zero back to the basket game and can’t power through elite defenders like Kornet.
If he would just set one legal screen. Just once. That way he’d at least know what it feels like.
His “screens” are a hodgepodge of hip checks, shoulder checks, elbowing, grabbing, shoving and Judo maneuvers.
