Maybe the Bucks front office will finally be honest about giannis’s injury..

  2. benmilas

If you somehow weren’t sold on Middleton getting his jersey retired, this series should be all you need to see. Man gave it his all despite the severe lack of help around him most games. Hoping this team gets younger in the offseason and can extend this championship window with the core 3. Bucks in 6, forever.

  3. Wish I could say this was a fun season but honestly it was pretty horrid. Hopefully better things to come. Team needs to be re-worked. Beasley, Pat, and Bobby sometimes are not playoff players. Horst will bail from the fire he created which is fine. Need to make the team better, not run it back

  4. BobbbyLight

    Well that fucking sucked.

Role players suck on the road (see Beasley, PatCon) but are good at home and because of that, in essence, we lost to Obi Toppin and TJ fucking McConnell.

I’m not even mad, I expected to lose the series once Dame went down. There’s just nothing you can do without 2 All NBA players, even against a super mediocre team. I’m not even disappointed in the performance tonight. Dame was like 35% of himself and Middleton was gassed after carrying for the last 3 games.

This roster needs turnover next year but that’s a discussion for later.

Looking forward to the Pacers getting melted next round.

  5. Remarkable_Counter47

There’s not a lot of hope for the future and I am sad

  6. titans0021

All of the talk the next few months will be about roster construction and coaching. And it should be.

But, when a franchise is built around a Giannis level superstar, it’s really, really tough to win a series when that guy isn’t playing. The most important thing, is figuring out a way to get him to the postseason healthy. Because it’s getting to be a really alarming trend.

  7. CursedRebel

Don’t give a fuck about the Pacers, it’s just unfair by the basketball gods to not let us have playoff Giannis after he’s had *another* incredible season.

    That’s all I’m sad about.

  8. mkebrewers27

What hurts the most is that it was a wasted season. We wait all year to see Dame and Giannis in playoffs and we don’t event get that. Game 3 was the only game that stung. Games 1 and 5 were so fun. I know he gets hate but we need a full offseason with Doc and need to make some changes. It does not sting like last year but it still sucks.

  9. Khris you’re an absolute legend for dragging this injured squad to 6 game.

  10. Athalos124

Just hope we stay healthy next year,we definitely need to add younger guys in the roster though.Brook is kinda unplayable at this point.Still proud of the team and the fight they showed in the previous games.

See you all next year, you were extremely insufferable till the end. Can’t wait to witness it again <3

This game was exactly what I feared after the vets played so well last game. We were going to not play AJ Green and AJJ and return to iso ball and lethargic defense…..

But it is what it is. We can only do so much without Giannis. I enjoyed most the fight we had for most of the series. I hope next year we get to see a healthy team in the playoffs.

  12. Reggieheathcliff

Extremely sad end to the year. Nothing ever really truly clicked with this team throughout the year. The role players need a complete overhaul. It was malpractice for Doc to stick with Malik Beasley for big minutes tonight over Andre Jackson Jr.

He benched AJ Green after an early foul and continued to stick with Beasley through a crazy amount of mistakes. The guy just simply cannot play defense, whether it be on or off ball. Time to retool completely around the big 3. Green and AJJ need to be regulars in the rotation next year.

I’m bummed it was a wasted year where nothing worked. This summer is truly “do or die” time for the Giannis title window.

  13. Mustard_Jam

I get the Bucks likely win THIS series without Giannis but it’s hard not to be critical of Horst. This teams depth and role players are some of the most sorry bunch I’ve ever seen on a team that’s supposed to contend. There’s no way these traffic cone defenders are stopping the Celtics wings or Brunson who’d probably average 40.

I don’t get how you don’t see most of your lineup is old as dust and slow AF and make no attempt to address it. Nah instead Horst decided to trade every last pick for fucking Crowder who’s the worst player in the league at this point.

  14. edenhzr7

All credits to Dame for playing through injury and still being the best player for us , It hurts ending the season like this especially without Giannis playing a single minute , hopefully next season we will be better , only Giannis Dame Khris AJJ AJ Green should be safe. See yall next year 🙌🏻🙌🏻

  15. ReverendGames

When you make one, maybe two good moves the entire offseason, flub the coach situation twice, and have your best player miss the playoffs, you’re probably not gonna win a championship.

It’s insane that the year we added a true star next to Giannis was the worst year by far from every angle since we became a contender.

Nothing good or enjoyable about this year. Hopefully the next GM realizes only 5-7 players from this team should be back next year, doesn’t have a fetish for the elderly and can find shooters that can actually shoot when it matters.

  16. Horst shoulders a lot of blame for going so vet-heavy with his moves in the last couple seasons. Crowder, Beas, Robin, Gallo… gross. Last year it was Ibaka, Ingles, Dragic, Wes…

A shortsighted strategy that is proving to be an utter failure…

Gotta keep taking risks with youth or you’ll eventually age out and fall off.

  17. PherSturz

I know it sucks, guys. But man, how fortunate are we to be in a position to feel this hurt? This is the first series win in a decade for the Pacers.

We expect success from our guys because we’ve had sustained success. It’s not always gonna be that way.

It’s been a weird season, but I can’t wait for October.

  18. Its_Getting_Dark

We were never winning this series with Giannis and Dame hurt.

That said, the FO better not use this as an excuse to not make any changes. We’re too damn old, and Jon Horst’s last few seasons of decision making has been… questionable at best.

They better NOT let Giannis play in the Olympics if he’s healed up.

  19. bucks3412

I know people will shit on Doc. But game 5 was the most fun I’ve had watching a bucks game snice the 2022 playoffs. Proud of this group, but yes we need to get younger lmao

  20. papasanchair

My expectations were so high after the Dame trade and this season was probably the least fun I’ve had as a Bucks fan. Constant disconnect, media attention, and seemingly no cohesion. This team needs major changes. They’re too old, they’re too slow, the bench only shows up half the time. And they have no real way to fix any of it. At least we’ll always have ‘21.

  21. ImTotallyTechy

Until recently I was very against giving up our 2021 family. Brook, Bobby, and Conny were important pieces to our success. They will forever have my thanks for helping us get that ring.

But the 2nd half of this season was really eye opening. Especially these playoffs. We need to bury the past and trade these mfers while we still can.

    Guangdong Tigers in 6.

  22. repingel

I’m not mad about the loss, but man am I annoyed we didn’t play AJJ when it actually mattered. He was a big part of the success the last game.

This season was terrible to watch, and I can’t even look forward to next season because there is so little ability to improve this roster. We’d all like to get younger and better, but that feels very unlikely.

As for the Pacers, I actually have a different opinion than a lot of people. Instead of losing the next round, I’d like to see them take the Atlanta Hawks arc of losing in the conference finals then squandering in suckage each season after.

  23. Giannis hasn’t played a full series in 2 years brutal

  24. leefordj

It’s so annoying that a healthy Dame, Giannis, Khris would beat anyone but someone always seems to be hurt.

  25. BadGolf27

I think Bobby, Pat, and maybe even Brook might be gone

  26. Loose-Sandwich-5493

Horst torn between looking for a house in Detroit and scoping out retirement homes for our next free agent signings.
