This is an interesting take, and I don’t want to “go against” UD, but I feel like Bam’s deterrence for ppl to go into the paint is huge. With that said, I do see the point that teams just make him switch, drag him out of the paint, and we can get screwed (obv there are counters, but it’s an issue nonetheless). Real issue is there are not many great rim protectors who can shoot. We need a rim protector that can stretch the floor if bam is to play the 4

I’m good with that. I want a 7 footer at center. It’s just rare that they can shoot. So either we find one who can or bam needs to become good at making 3’s and attempt at least 4-6 a game.

Seeing UD say a lot of the stuff that was said on this sub over the years feels weird

  4. Repulsive-Slice2234

It’s crazy. UD saying the same thing we all got called idiots for the last few years on national television.

  5. ud just like us lol. one of our best years did have bam start next to meyers leonard

My Bam at the 4 agenda died when I saw Myles Turner’s extension last year. Would have loved him, but there aren’t many bigs that can shoot the three at a good clip and not be a defensive liability as well.

Jimmy at the 2, Niko at the 3, Bam at the 4? 👨‍🍳

This makes sense. Bam is clearly not great at post ups. Problem is if you add a center, say for example Zach edey in the draft, you really clog the paint.

Bam needs to keep working at the midrange game if we’re ever gonna pair him with a 5

  9. Esjay_954

If you can find a floor spacing 5 that actually has gravity and isn’t a liability on defense, sure.

Problem is those aren’t readily available.

You can play KOs and Leonard’s next to him for spurts, but spo will always default to the crowder or Tucker next to bam come playoff/winning time, just cause it doesn’t compromise you on defense and you can play more schemes.

  10. Edey at 5, Bam at 4, Niko at 3..book it…🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

We are getting a big guy. Mark my word.

  12. If we could get someone like a Isiah Hartenstein or Jonas Valenciunas, Bam would be a top 5 power forward. My opinion.

  13. GullyBarm

Who do you guys think would fit us at 5? I think we have to get a great rebounder like Mitchell Robinson (not saying him specifically because if one great season from Hartenstein convinces the Knicks to trade him they’re idiots and I don’t think they are) or maybe a 3 and d guy. I think Claxton would have been a good fit but I feel like our best shot at him was the deadline and the front office probably tried but the Nets asked for too much. Walker Kessler isn’t exactly what I have in mind but I could see him being more attainable then the other options, guess it depends on whether or not the Jazz are delusional enough to believe they can replicate that mid-season stretch they had when they couldn’t lose if they wanted to. Any better fits you guys can think of?

UD gonna do his best to get Jimmy that title

  15. blinc112

UD should be GM or whomever drafts players. Speaking of drafting a Center, draft Zach Eady from Purdue.

  16. CrossDeSolo

yeah we need to get bigger and more athletic, if they end up keeping jimmy I really want him at the 2, jovic at the 3, and another 6’9+ guy at the 4/5

  17. andre23055

Trade Tyler… keep bam and Jimmy and terry and go from there.

  18. Been saying this. Everyone’s looking for the perfect 4 beck to Bam. Fuck that, I want a perfect 5 next to Bam.

We need basically a Brook Lopez or even a Myles Turner. Some big slow fucker that swats rim attempts in drop and can shoot 3s, then let Bam go and be a hound on the perimeter without having to always help the low man.

  19. WheeinSpace

Lol if Niko bulked up just to move to SF or SG

  20. CycleR16

I think Wendell carter from the magic, would be a perfect big next to bam.

  21. OceanicLemur

Been saying for years Bam needs a Brook Lopez, Al Horford, Porzingis type who can play the 5 and space the offense still

  22. Sensitive-Gain3365

Draft Zach Edey. This is the way.
