This Is Not The Same Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards is starting to build a nice track record of being a playoff superstar, but what is it that makes him such a dominant postseason player?

  1. as a pretty big fan of your analysis, I have a suggestion, something that might get lots of views: You should investigate the huge leap jamal murray takes in the playoffs every year. he puts up a historic difference, going up by 7 ppg in the playoffs, but this happens every year, how does bro do this? How does he play in reg season compared to playoffs and where specifically does he elevate his game during plays?

  2. Being exceptionally strong and exceptionally quick at the same time, that's very MJ like, a young MJ doesn't cross you over, he simply run past you.

However Ant didn't "get that from day 1", if you can remember, his rookie season he got a lot of questioning, because he is not big enough to play like that, Ant grew 2 inches after that, which solves the problem, that is not a common occurrence, most players don't grow into a role, they change styles.

  3. Ants playmaking ability & how quickly he made the right read/pass out of the double team was in a way more impressive to me at times than his scoring. He’s totally fine feeding his teammates & trusts them to hit big shots. True leader, kids a bonafide star!

  4. Suns being favored to win the series against the Wolves only proved mainstream media analysts didn't watch a single Wolves game all year.
Anyone who knows the Wolves wasn't surprised by the sweep.

  5. Ant has been a playoff riser his entire career not sure why people believed suns would lock him up .. regular season matchups arent as important playoffs are a different thing ant is 100% locked in .. also beal telling finch wolves dont play hard enough probably added extra motivation to send suns home

  6. And the leadership aspect is key for Wolves to be in contention for years to come. In real time during game you can see him cheering, directing or yelling at guys. Giving his team props every single time and backing up his words through his play.

I hope he will cook Jokic in pick n roll, paint play and use Kats offensive prowess to tire out Joker. That'll be big in winning the next series. And also he will probably guard Murray in clutch time and lock him up. If these dudes win the next series, imma be hella happy!

  7. I wonder if AnT will be the first player to crack that MJ Triple clutch air reverse against the nets. I believe if he can’t he will get the closest to mimic that move

  8. Can we stop hyping these young dudes up?
Yea Ant Man is talented but he hasn’t won anything
    – to even be called a “Superstar”
The hype becomes bigger than the product.
Ben Simmons (next Lebron) Zion Williams and others

  9. A good defensive team like Denver will expose some of the issues in their series but he's already showing great adaptability, can't wait for Saturday

  10. It’s all mental. He got the number five this year – a number that he has been wearing all his life. A little biter of placebo definitely helps lol

  11. I've been telling this from Day one: He is basically the second coming of DWade, only slightly worse defender. Although his jumpshot has far higher ceiling than DWade's ever did.

  12. Love that the Timberwolves are bringing the importance of a supreme defense back to the NBA. As long as refs let you play defense against that certain player on that certain night nowadays

Can't wait til Lebron retires so we can actually see who's good and who the refs were just propping up for the narrative

  13. Can't wait to see how he'll try to dissect Denver's half court defense. This series is gonna be a banger.
