him diving to the ground for a loose ball in game 5 is all I needed to see

Thanks for trying, Joel

Even the broadcast media acknowledges him typically being hurt in post season and expect some fraction of Embiid rather than the whole. I guess these injuries are typical of someone his size who’s going to aggressively defend the rim and evidenced through many of his film reel blocks and fouls too. It must be hard knowing that your style of defense (challenging midair defenders at the rim) can get you too banged up before year’s end. If I were in his shoes, complex migraines, Bell’s Palsy, and limited knee mobility would make it difficult for me to be my best office self, and I disagree with media people who say that team docs have some magic pill that makes pain go away without also making you loopy/confused while standing in helter skelter of NBA court + fans. Stronger medical oversight, physical therapy, and load management is going to be even more critical for him from here on out.
Im just one Philly native who remembers our last NBA championship, but I too would want Embiid to know how much I appreciate what he’s sacrificed for Philly and done for the game. #TTP

We’re given a generational talent that truly leaves it all on the floor and he gets paid back with “trade him” comments from 12 year old box score warriors
The team and its real fans value him and that’s what matters

For better or worse, this man always busts his ass for us. A vast majority of other star players in his position would’ve forced their way out 3 years ago but he still stays fighting. Players of his skill and loyalty are really, really rare. Nothing but respect for Embiid despite all the heartbreak.

Mood today ❤️
One of his eyes was rolling up in his head and yet he stayed on the court!
He’s the only reason the team is relevant in any way. Hope morey can build a better team and they have a plan to get him thru the season
Gutsy performance. Now Joel, please come into camp at least 40 Lbs lighter looking lean and mean.
