Q: Are teams guarding you differently this year? Payton Pritchard: “Well, I didn’t really play last year, so I don’t know if I’d call it different.”

I appreciate his salt. He was an effective contributor to the 2022 playoffs, but didn’t have a role in 2023 until Brogdon went down.

10 DNPs and about 5minute per game for the other 10 games in 2023. He surpassed his total playoff minutes played in game 3 this year.

Glad to see him get an opportunity now.

As long as we keep him, I love this fire. We didn’t play him last year and he was vocal in his displeasure. I love his game and commitment so to let bygones be bygones from both pp and the Celtics org, play him more, he has now become a contributing member to championship favorites. Professionalism all around and so glad to have him here

Pritchard’s and Grant’s roles changed the most for bench guys over recent years. Pritchard has finally found the perfect spot, and it’s after an extension.

Curious and excited to see how he performs as we get deeper into the playoffs

Because we had 3 starting caliber point guards last year. Love ya Pritchard but you weren’t getting minutes over any of those 3

I’d take him over Brogdon at this point though. More durable and better contract

He’s looked scared this playoff thus far. Hadn’t shot it much or shot well. I like pritch so I hope he turns it around

He’s proven he can be a rotation guard in this league, but he’ll still be hunted on defense given his size.

He’ll likely a liability in series with larger guards but he should be able to contribute offensively. Dude consistently goes to the rim which I love and he has no qualms about putting shots up from anywhere on the floor.

A reminder: we signed this guy to a 4 year / $30M contract. That’s like, just a hair over what first round rookies will be getting lol

I’m sorry but he’s having way too many 0 point games right now at the worst time
