The Dallas Mavericks announced today that an MRI revealed a right shoulder AC joint separation for forward Maxi Kleber. Kleber sustained the injury in Q2 of the Mavericks’ first-round playoff game against the L.A. Clippers on Friday.
Kleber will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

Quite disappointing and it takes away one of our most important pieces in terms of different looks we can throw at OKC.
I know it could be argued the Clippers player caused the impact to be much worse than it could have been but I also really don’t know what compelled Maxi to take flight from that position. Oh well. The task is a little harder now but I still believe
Dude, I am so upset with Maxi lol. Why you gotta go for the Slam Dunk contest dunk bro. I can see us beating OKC without him, but 2 more series after that might be tough without a small ball center at all.
Maxi was feeling spicy and flew too close to the sun going for that slam. Hopefully it’s not a grade 3 like being reported.
We can get through OKC without maxi (it won’t be easy, but it is DOABLE), where we will miss the hell out of him is if we were to advance and have to face nuggets or especially the Timberwolves. The size the wolves have we would have to be full strength with our Forwards/Centers to stand a chance.
Maxi is an x factor, but that can go both ways. He always brings it defensively, but it can look bad when the Mavs go small ball and his shot isn’t falling. This may force Kidd to play big the whole game which isn’t the worst thing. You can still go small ball with PJ at the 5 if you really want to as a wrinkle. Still, if the Mavs are going to win this series and make a championship level run then it comes down to Luka raising his level and the Mavs ability to control the paint.
I’m gunna throw this out there, and I know it was the defenders responsibility to do it, but he clearly had the opportunity to try to help catch maxi and he clears out of the way to allow him to fall. Not saying he had any responsibility to help maxi at all. Just saying he clearly could have.
even if it heals his shot is probably gonna be gone, it must fucking suck trying to shoot coming off that injury. fuck man
I still won’t forgive Kidd for making me hate him during the 5 game stretch of weired rotations, once he fixed it kleber started playing well
I wanted to cry when I saw him on the ground. I’m super worried. I still think mavs will beat okc in 7 games but it’s gonna be tough

I love Maxi but we have to quit acting like his minutes aren’t replaceable. His injury should not be the difference in us winning this series or even the wcf.
So many teams dealing with injury, I knew the bug was coming for us too. It could’ve been worse. This is a sign for Exum and Green to step the fuck up. Exum you are 28 years old why are you shrinking in the playoffs
