1995 vs Chicago- first game MJ played in Portland after his return and his first game in the Rose Garden.

That 1993 game was the same day rookie Shaq broke the backboard in Phoenix which was the first game of a NBA on NBC doubleheader with our game, which delayed our start time substantially. Shaq was a terror that year on backboards.
What a time to be a kid. The NBA and the atmosphere around it were at their finest in this era.

I don’t think I have any stubs from the Rose Garden but I am sure I have some Buckaroo, Winterhawk, and Blazer stubs, from the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum in my storage unit. My concert stubs from that era are pretty cool too. I saw Def Leppard, 4th row floor level, in 1983. Ticket price was $12.50, no damn fee’s, and free parking!
I didn’t get to the finals in that era but got to go to lots of great playoff victories. I’ll never forget the first round game 5 intensity inside memorial coliseum when it was do or die against Seattle. I had no idea that wasn’t forever, I thought my Blazers were always going to
Be that good. We truly loved that team, it was a special time. RIP Jerome Kersey and Kevin Duckworth, pillars of Trail Blazers basketball.
I still have a lot of my ticket stubs from the late 90s and early 2000s as well. Bummer it’s all digital now.
