Along with this being a bad draft, the warriors not having their 2025 pick further restricts what they can do this off-season to potentially improve the roster.

If we did win one of the top Picks, we would need to consider trading it. A lottery Pick plus CP3’s $30M expiring contract (guaranteed) could be the very spicy start of a trade package for a team willing to part with a star player as part of a rebuild. And as long as we get someone under age 30, it’s not completely giving up on the “future.” Better a proven player who will give us 5-plus years than a risky green teenager whose prime may have zero overlap with Steph’s remaining years.
