Pacers files complaint on 78 calls between the two games

Kinda curious on everyone’s opinion? The referees, at times, throughout both games were obnoxious and favored. I don’t think it’s the only reason we lost. At least not in game 2.

I’m just worried we’re too focused on the calls. It sucks, believe me, but we’re a small market team and we really gotta out perform if we want any chance to win.

I’m curious on everyone’s opinion though

I should have expressed this, but I don’t disagree with him submitting these complaints. I think all teams should be given fair calls whether home or away. Reporting issues like this is important. I guess my fear is we only focus on this aspect

Submitting the calls, yes. He absolutely should have done that.

I disagree with him going on what appeared as an unhinged rant at refs in the presser. Just not a good look, and if public opinion is against Rick and the Pacers, will they change anything even if we’re right?

You have to file the complaint. It would be much more impactful had the Pacers not fucked themselves with free throws and garbage defense, but you still do it.

Rick said it in the presser – he tried taking the high road and nothing improved. So he’s trying the other route prior to the games going back home to see what he can get from there – trying all options. When you win games people don’t care about anything else – remember that.

Sixers fan here. I know you guys are probably going to get roasted by the broader NBA community for this, but the fact that this has happened two series in a row against the Knicks (complaint filed against the officiating) has to raise some eyebrows?! Or am I taking crazy pills

I think it’s a culmination of a season long issue.

interesting strategy. this won’t backfire at all.

Teams do this after almost every game, the Knicks did it during the last series. Pretty lame that it’s being made out to be unusual when it’s typical but w/e gotta get clicks

  8. If you watch the post game press conference, the players know they need to play better and TJ refused to echo Rick’s sentiment about blaming the calls. He said something along the lines of “we appreciate Rick standing up for us but that’s not how we feel in the locker room. We know we need to be better”

  9. Imo the second game was officiated better but the push on Halliburton late was effing bs. If we went after Brunsons foot on purpose someone would have been ejected.

Thibedeau has never had a team score 130 points on any of his teams in his playoff tenure.

Should’ve raised hell like this after Game 1. Refs still fucking sucked last night and still contributed to the loss, but the game wasn’t flat-out stolen like Game 1, we largely blew it ourselves.

Makes for extra seasoned Halliburton tears.
