The Brooklyn Nets are up? Hide the women and children – it's UGLY!
I hope the nets get rid of. Bridges he deserves better
It’s utterly fascinating watching the contrast between the extensive analysis Cam Thomas gets from Locked on Nets…and watching you (more or less) laughing at him and chuckling at how he’s moving to Get Dat Bag
Barnes, Vezenkov, #13 from SAC for Bridges
0:03 – NO!! THAT IS not THE QUESTION!!
WILL SEAN MARKS DISCARD HIS BROKEN AND UNPROVEN small-ball philosophy IN FAVOR OF COMPELLING EXAMPLES OF RELEVANT BASKETBALL?!
3:32 – NO! I would blow this sh*t up, trade Mikal, Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Schröder for draft picks, bad contracts, and good young prospects on their rookie contracts
You don't build around 28yo role players… 😂😂😂
As a suns fan I wish we could have him back
Surprised to hear Cam's game gets minimized to "March Basketball" as if he had a hot shooting month when that was not the case. I also hate the "you cant win with him" when your average 3rd-year player who just started getting consistent PT is not leading your team to the title. Cam is developing to be a better passer which has shown in the uptake in his assist towards the end of the season.
This gm is killing out team..
Call back Houston
I find it really funny that he just completely dismisses how improved Cam Thomas has been this season, which was pretty much his first full season in the rotation. He already knows what Cam Thomas can or cannot be when he’s doing this at 21 years old and he’s already decided that Cam Thomas basketball potential is already capped out. I don’t get it. If he was 27 years old fine.
As for defense, he definitely can get better is he gonna be a lockdown guy probably not because he has length issues, but there are so many talented offensive players in the NBA who are not good defensive players that I find it hard to believe that he can’t be successful in the right defense scheme, surrounded by the right type of players. The nets played a heavily switching small ball type defense scheme. That’s probably not the type of scheme that Cam Thomas needs to be successful.
I do agree that what the nets need to do and what they will do is probably drastically different and the reason is because Sean Marks has made bad decision after bad decision and has been late to the party far too many times to mention. What they should do is rebuild And push out their star search or contending window to 2026. They should start by doing the following:
1.waiving Ben Simmons. Even if you get no buyout relief you should just get rid of the headache of trying to rehabilitate him. Pay him to go home and move on.
2. Move bridges, DFS and cam Johnson for as many draft assets as you can get. If nets are not contending anytime soon unless some mysterious star comes out of nowhere and these guys are ready in their primes if you’re not gonna be contending next year it’s time to move on.
3. Sign Clax, extend Cam Thomas. I think we agree that you can’t just let Clax walk for nothing where we disagree is. I would extend Pam Thomas right now and try to do it on a team friendly deal. These players are too young to let walk and are young enough to possibly hit their primes when the nets are ready to actually contend again.
4. Make sure that you get into this year‘s draft to get more players to start developing
These are the major moves that I would do if I was the nets, but they’re probably not going to hope I’m wrong.
As a nets fan, the only way for this team to get better is to hope that the team gets so bad that the nba steps in to force the owner to sell the team and make changes to the horrible front office.
The owner in a interview said he doesn’t care at all if the team is in a position to win or not, because as long as he continues to profit he doesn’t care what happens.
At the same time the front office continues to make poor decisions, especially now with prioritizing keeping Ben Simmons and allowing Claxton to walk for nothing.
As a nets fan I want nothing more than for every player on the team to get moved so that they can be successful somewhere else
This is almost as bad as fan twitter. Cavs aren’t giving up all- nba player without Bridges coming back. Ben Simmons and bad first won’t get it. This makes zero sense. I know you can do better.
The nets won’t jump over the cavs 😂 they will still be better. Idk why ppl think Mitchell is this needle mover
Finney Smith won't be on the team next season. We need the draft picks we can get for him and Clowney will likely start at the 4
Don't think we should move Mikal. Nets could have $80 MM in cap space a summer 2025
We dont need Donovan Mitchell on this team. We already have a guy on the roster who can drop 40 on just about any defense aside from maybe the top 5… Thomas just needs a little more in the off-season in the way of looking for his teammates and he is the consistent rim pressure the offense needs. Problem is he's undersized so he should be more willing to facilitate for others but maybe w another off season of development. Also if Cam is at the 2 then our roster is pretty small assuming we bring claxston back. Claxston is also not a scoring threat outside 10'. So realistically we need an upgrade at one guard spot and the Center position and we can compete in the east without Spida
Lol. Should've kept House for cheap since Kevo was going to leave anyway
Maybe the Nets should throw loads of money at getting OG anunoby
then trade Bridges to Portland for Grant.
