  1. The rest of the tweet:

“With Portland’s young guards, Brogdon would likely fetch them another first-round pick from a contender if he’s made available.”

That’s exciting if true. With yet another injury, and now on an expiring contract, i was kind of assuming Brogdon didn’t have first round value anymore. A huge win for us if he does.

  2. I’m going to seriously miss Brogdon, but of course it does make some sense. Still prefer a world where he is our sole 3rd guard off the bench for the foreseeable future and is happy with that role.

Was hoping to keep him as a steadying presence and being THE vet going forward, and was fine with trading the others

My dream would be for Brogdon to retire a Blazer!

Yes please. Though this one doesn’t affect us too much. The rotation is crowded but Simons is roadblock not so much Brogdon.

    Lets goo!!

I really think we have the assets to pretty do whatever we want this draft outside of trading for the top 2 picks. We have 7/14/34/40 as picks in this draft plus veterans that we can move up to teams that want to win now and don’t want to pay for a rookie.

I love our vets and roster, but we can’t run it back so we need to try to sell high and get off some salary by moving some guys to get some draft picks back. 2025 is a loaded draft so hopefully we can develop this year and land a difference maker then we should be set to take off.
