Major media outlet defends large market? Color me shocked.

Is there more to it? Because that doesn’t really defend him

  3. Even if I was not rooting for the Pacers, I would still want them to win, just to see the media cry hard

After years of having Thibs run him into the ground Luol Deng only played 79 games after his 30th birthday. It must have been liberating, in a way. Think of all the free time he had for other pursuits!

I read that article. Its very misleading title because it makes it sound like Thibs style is going to finally cost them. But it never goes that far. It vaguely hints that it might have had an effect but doesn’t go that far. And it is largely a puff piece about him.

That said I don’t think it defends his style either.

I hate this universe in the multiverse where New York fans want sympathy. I miss the evil empire days. The Gotham City days. We’re better than you know matter what days. This past week makes me sick. LA and Cowboy fans hold up their end. NYC has gotten soft and it’s a shame.

Knicks only had 3 players in top 100 in MPG this season. Obviously if half the team is hurt then the other guys are going to have to play a ton more. But guys like OG, Mitch and Bogs have always been injury prone. This idea that Thib’s teams are more injury prone than others is a huge reach, reality is Knicks traded two iron men in RJ and IQ for OG who has always been more of an injury risk.
