Mo Dahkil:
> It is a real disservice to NBA fans for any show talking about the NBA to not start off with SGA’s performance last night. But let’s do LeBron to Cleveland and KD wants out.

Denver to OKC: First time, ha?
Welcome to the club
“I’ve got a lot to think about”
Going for Lowest Common Denominator when it comes to eyeballs. Which means people who don’t watch much basketball and just like drama. You thought you could escape high school after you left, you’re here forever.
the people who care about OKC and Shai already know about his performance.
Everyone else wants to hear about LeBron and perpetually aggrieved KD
The majority of people don’t actually watch basketball, just the highlights. A lot of these clowns don’t even have favorite teams
That Shai 4th quarter was a thing of beauty. Killing them with the middy, looking like my goat Dwade out there. Huge performance from him and he’s been silencing the doubters this postseason, must win game on the road and led his team to a comeback win. He’s got the goods
Lebron still the King at 39. Dude shows up to a Cavs game everyone enters in frenzy mode and doesnt even care about the other games.
The current nba cycles obsession with the old guys is a bit weird. Can’t really remember another cycle like it.
Why is it a disservice? Facts are most fans are casuals that don’t care about SGA, tv shows aren’t charities they do what draws in viewers
Own those Frauds Mo.
That’s what happens with small market teams unfortunately
It’s like this with every sport.
Cowboys or Dodgers choke in the first round and all the headlines and shows are about them and not the underdog team that beat them.
People need to stop acting like because a story wasn’t given the order of importance ranking you think it should, that its a tragedy.
Its such an overreaction and over-dramatization
Sigh, as a Dallas fan, feels good that they are starting off with lebron! Lol
First time watching espn?
I instantly forgot everything else in this tweet, after reading “Lebron to Cleveland and KD wants out.”
Cause “NBA” fans care more about Bronny’s draft highlights and all time rankings than playoff games
Translation: “ESPN is trash”
We been knew
NBA media wants to talk about *anything* other than NBA games.
Wait KD wants out?
I think the problem is that the media is stuck in the 2010s when all this hyper fixation on sports truly began. It’s not just an NBA thing either and it’s gone on for pretty much every sport that has had a boom in coverage during that decade. The execs saw the metrics during that time and essentially pushed their production teams to capitalize while these teams/athletes were still popular. For the most part, it worked as the media generated a lot of buzz and traffic as we’ve seen in various sports. We have seen it with the Lebron/Curry/KD dynamics in basketball, the 3 GOATs in tennis, the old guard in MMA, Messi/Ronaldo in soccer and much more.
The problem now is that the media got lazy once they were able to get those narratives set up. They thought that they could just sit back and rely on those athletes forever and decided to not try and build up new narratives. The only way for things to fix themselves is to get new blood to cover the new crop of athletes. A lot of the current media personalities rose together with the current crop of top tier athletes that are covered today. It’s hard to get them on the ground level again to cover the up and comers at the same level. You have to feature the new generation of reporters too so that they can share their stories about the new crop of athletes at a mainstream level like how a lot of the Bay Area reporters gained traction in the last decade.
It’s because they don’t care about NBA fans lol. We’re gonna watch regardless we’re fans. They care about attracting casuals with a big Lebron headline. People are going to be mad at this forever but if you’re such a basketball fan there’s outlets to get the content you’re looking for. It’s not 2002 , nothing on ESPN really matters any more
Legler ranted about this, this morning on ESPN. Basically saying he’s sick and tired of having to talk about “where KD wants to play and/or anything Lakers.”
The top 3 posts on this sub in the last 24 hours are about Lebron and Bronny lmao
Y’all love to complain but are actively part of the problem
The three top voted posts in the past 24 hours are: Bronny James at the combine, LeBron James in Cleveland, LeBron James in Cleveland. It’s funny how /r/nba redditors love to jerk themselves off about how smart they are but in reality you eat up the same content everyone else does.
It’s been happening the whole year boss, wouldn’t expect anything less
KD wants out?
Its expected. They werent giving Jokic Christmas day games either when he was winning MVPs
But what does SGA’s performance mean for LeBron’s legacy
The sub is funny. Last night the top posts where about LeBron attending the Cleveland game. Not even about LeBron game or anything, just him being there. We are the playoffs and that’s what gets a top post.
Meanwhile Bronny James’ vertical is at the top of this sub
The NBA media is so fucking bad it made JJ Reddick look like a top head coaching candidate by simply not saying asinine off the cuff shit.
Yep – Lebron knows what he’s doing, dude loves the attention and can’t go a day without being the centre of it
ESPN and FS1 are fucking garbage btw and actively worsen the state of sports discourse
Agree, if they don’t talk about LeBaby , it’s about Durant or Bronny….good god…..typical NBA
Welcome to every team that isn’t the Lakers or knicks
Every team is small market compared to LA and Boston… the coverage is just ass on ESPN. Same goes for their NFL “coverage”.
Hold up; KD wants out??
This is why the NBA will be better off without LeBron.
