Shams Charania: Cavaliers All-Star Donovan Mitchell is expected to miss tonight’s potential elimination Game 5 vs. Boston, sources tell me and @joevardon. Mitchell is dealing with a calf strain.

His trade value should not be at risk by playing a meaningless game. Finish the Cavs off!

  2. If this team is serious they’ll end it tonight and give themselves some extra rest. Will be telling.

Kill the beast while it’s wounded , hopefully we take care of business tonight

I expected a close one last game with the news breaking so close to tipoff, but with a day to prepare for non-Mitchell rotations, I’m expecting a Miami Game 5 blowout tonight.

Don’t let Strus, Levert or Okoro get hot, keep Mobley off the boards, and force Garland to play hero ball.

We are NOT going back to Ohio. No way. Time to handle business

We need the Buffalo to apply the dagger tonight. Help out the Jays

I think this was very likely when he missed game 4, no way it was going to be healthy enough 2 days after missing the game that was pivotal to their chances of making this a series.

Close it out tonight, I need the rest.

If this teams loses game 5 at home without Mitchell they are cooked anyway. So let’s see what happens

Thats unfortunate. Really sucks how every team is facing big injuries

No one wants to go to Ohio, all I wish for tonight is for Al to hit a few to break his slump and a big D White game, I expect the Jays to continue on their upward trend to gear up for the ECF

  17. I know they win this series no matter what but winning tonight would be REALLY useful. Get some rest and recharge a bit before the next round. Extra time for the coaches isn’t a bad thing either.

I haven’t seen a replay of the play when he got hurt…out of curiosity was it similar to KP/Giannis where he’s just pushing off on the leg or was it a different mechanism of injury?

Close the door tonight, no excuses.

I think the Pacers force a G7 and getting those extra days of rest for KP( who we might not even need to rush back for the ECF.) and AL will be huge.

Getting through the ECF quickly and resting for the west to get done beating the hell out of each other will also be massive.
