Banchero Speaks: “Shooting is a big part of what we need to improve on, whether we go and get somebody or try to develop guys. And having a guy who can set the table and be reliable”
Really interesting stuff scattered throughout this article. I think it’s pretty clear that Banchero is in a similar camp as many of us, we need to find a true PG to run the offense this summer.

Paolo is a part of the shooting problem, not a huge part, but he takes a lot of questionable shots to try and compensate for our lack of shooting. 17-18 foot contested fadeaways being your bread and butter is like wrapped gifts to your opponent

Based on Banchero’s quote, I’m imagining someone like Tyus Jones when he says “someone who can set the table and be reliable”.
Still makes our backcourt scoring extremely weak, but maybe all it has to be is efficient. There’s only one basketball. The Anthony Black pick looks as puzzling as ever.
Seems like he is trying to politely nudge the FO to address the point guard problem and make life easier for him and Franz. Ultimately, the facilitating skill is there but it’s obvious he wants to score just as much.

Banchero is the face of the franchise, and Weltman will listen to him. After all, we want Paolo to sign a max contract here.

I think Franz’s shooting improves if we get a true PG.

Think he might want to trade for dejounte..

It’s funny when our FO had a quote last week saying our shooting isn’t an issue, most of this sub agreed with them.
I swear half of you don’t even watch the games. We’ve been a terrible offensive team all year.
