  1. Good for Clingan. That said the Wizards or Rockets can have him. It’s Sarr or nothing for me anyone else would be disappointing

High floor, low celing, limited role. No thanks.

  3. I think we’re gonna see a lot of these kinds of reports over the next few weeks, primarily because of the Rockets. They want to drive interest in their pick, and it does not hurt the Hawks or Wizards to be in these rumors.

All that to say, sit back and enjoy the ride.

No one knows what the Hawks are about to do. That said, this is fine to be in the mix like this. It shows that they are doing their due diligence with scouting and reporting.

He was on my radar when I thought we’d end up with like pick 8 or something. Not who I want with pick 1

The #1 need for the Hawks is a BIG that can cover large distances and guard at least 2-5. Clingan has slow feet. He can defend the paint very well and probably at the 2nd level but he’s nowhere near the level of Sarr. He has Elite interior defense but lacks the foot speed to guard the 1-3 spots. He’s more of a Dereck Lively II or a Walker Kessler and Sarr is more like Evan Mobley with even better defense, IMHO.

Sarr is far above what the Hawks need and is a perfect fit for what we want to do. Sarr and Jalen Johnson and hopefully OO will be the one of the most athletic front courts in the league.
