I think Atlanta may try to see what returns they get with their top pick and Trae Young playing together. If the Spurs draft Rob Dillingham, his college buddy/friend Reed Sheppard or both they won't need Trae.
Spurs can't have a player that doesn't play defense. No go!
Of all the picks we have, the Atlanta ones are by far the most valuable. Trading unprotected picks back to a team with an uncertain future would be borderline malpractice for the front office. Tre's a good player, he's not worth the asking price they'd request. The media want Tre in San Antonio for ratings and I wouldn't be surprised if actors connected to the Hawks were fanning the "Tre to SA" narrative to this end as well.

Told y'all… Spurs aren't that stupid to be tricked by his highlights… They actually watch games and see he is a high usage rate, low impact player… Pop also doesn't like him
Because of Wembys potential, alot of players are going to be good assets to pair with him. It becomes a matter of who is the BEST player to pair with Wemby. Tre is a good start but there is certainly better options.

As I always say, they won't trade for Trae unless it's just for the 2025 pick. It's not like trae's value is low. It's just what the spurs is willing to give.

Just go with the draft picks first
I prefer 2-way players who play great on both ends. Trae has a weakness on defense that I don't want to see exploited every game. I want multpleplayers around Wemby who are flexible enough to do whatever the team needs to do to win any game.
I’m over undersized PGs that can’t defend and that goes for Dillingham as well
Man I would have to research it more but off the top of my head, I'd want Maxey out of anyone for pg. I'd be willing to give up quite a bit for him too.
