Not normally one to post about trades since I don’t know enough but I’m interested in the divergence of opinion on the value of 213 and so sought some independent views.
AM Hoops (NBA reporter turned YouTuber) suggested Kawhi for Dejounte Murray and this years no 1 pick
(https://youtu.be/6vnJsiZ0_B8?si=VgCxCZQ1NSvN5AxR at around 8:10)
Fadeaway World proposed Mathurin, Nesmith, McDermott and the 27 and 29 firsts for PG, and Wiggins, Kuminga, and the 26 and 28 firsts for Kawhi.
They separately proposed Amen and Jabari and this years no 3 pick for PG. This seems less likely (in that as Bushbann said earlier he would probably prefer FA) but who knows, he might prefer to lock up a max than possibly be low-balled by Morey.
Regardless I am more interested as to whether these sorts of proposals are ballpark regardless of the current challenges of trading them immediately. For example if we signed PG and sought to trade him later would this be about right?
The Fadeaway World one for Kawhi seems high but even AM Hoops suggestion is not as low as what had been suggested here. I would assume reporters (even from FAW) would have some knowledge of the trade rules but the proposals are not obviously in breach of the rules based on the summaries that some have kindly posted here (and noting that aggregation appears to be barred only in terms of aggregating the salaries of our players to trade for a player on another team who earns more).
If we could get some young assets then we would start a fair bit ahead of what we would if we run it back. In other words if these are even close to ballpark then foxwilliam’s ‘X’ might not be as small as all that

These trades are way, way, way more than we’d get for these guys. Sorry.
I remember last year when everyone wanted simons and blazers 3rd pick then later it turned out that trade proposal was never on table just like RJ Barrett, IQ and 2-3 draft picks for PG and it turned out to be Obi Toppin, Quentin Grimes, Evan Fournier, and three first-round picks with some protection for the picks
I wont believe any of that shit unless Shams and Woj report these players value in the market
I would love to get any of those trades. Doesn’t seem likely.
The writings on the wall. He wasn’t a good coach, and he is not a good GM. He let Hartenstein go for Wall, let PG finesse him into Russ(John Wall 2 with defense), he let go all our power forwards for an upgrade to the point guard after he fucked up twice, which ended up fucking up Kawhi, which means he fucked up a third time. Only got lucky with Theis when Plumlee got injured, and Lue sat him at the end.
Kawhi’s value will be extremely hard to gauge given his injury history and how good he still is.
PG probably a lottery pick + salary filler or a goodish young player + filler.
