Miami Heat 2024 Offseason Priorities
as you guys know the Miami Heat just got eliminated that being said we got to do our off seon primer preview and two weeks after the the draft we’ll do our predictions so before we start today’s video I want to hear your guys’ thoughts we’re going to kind of preview the offseason what they need to do what they need to address free agents draft picks players they could Target Etc leave your thoughts in the comments that way I can use your thoughts and I can also shout you guys out on what you guys think the heat need to do so then it can help me form my predictions so let’s get right into it guys hit that like And subscribe button so 46 and 36 was the Heat record they were a playin team they did struggle with injuries but this was a team that it was different this year the heat in comparison to the heat of Year’s pass I felt like Duncan Robinson in the postseason did not perform I I honestly think Duncan Robinson it’s time to move on there I I don’t even mean that’s the first thing I want to say when I look at the the playoff stats he was just not you know even a factor after having you know a somewhat decent bounceback Year from the year before and this was a team that was the fifth best defense on the season 21st offense that’s the big problem the offense isn’t there they need a guy creat last year they were 25th offensively and Ninth defensive rating so one might say in the regular season they were better this year and like Hami hakz was huge and a big part of that but I really think and I know they brought Terry rier and he was hurt but they need like a Malik monk Norman Powell Off the Bench that’s consistent I know you say well they have Tyler hero I I think they want a guy who and I know not neither of those two guys were a two-way guy I think first off they need someone that can do what Tyler herro does at a cheaper cost Off the Bench and then they need a legit point guard and there’s a few things let’s just get right into this and cuz I’m rambling so the heat here they reached the finals they trade a future first for Terry Rosier they finished the season with the seventh highest pay roll Miami will be paying $15.7 million in luxury tax penalty and Pat Riley they needed to Pat riy and the front office need to evaluate this they missed the fifth most games to injuries used 35 different lineups the most in franchise history and tied for the fifth most amongst teams this season hero out of bio and Butler played 27 games in a total of 499 minutes together Butler and Rosier missed the first round lost to Boston they have just look their random lineups have not yielded good results they have a 22 and 21 record in the clutch they finished 10 games above 500 in the clutch last season despite the their like random lineups the heat still finished second defensive efficiency after January 31st and The rosters dependent on multiple things obviously the development of the young guys Nicole yic Hami hakz and they do have like f the first four factors that they need to address and Shout Out Bobby marks for this a BN Health obviously they need to choose which players they can your availability is your best ability they need the consistent roster players like Nicole yic like played like 50 games and started like 38 and they need to figure out what they’re going to do with their cap space they have the 15th overall pick and the 43rd I think a guy like Devin Carter would be huge for them if they want to go for a point guard I think a guy if they want to go big I think it it varies to what bigs are going to be available at that point but I think khil wear is a guy that or Tyler Smith I think Kevin mcculler is another guy that could really interest them so Kevin mcculler Ryan Dunn Tyler Smith Dalton connect maybe Bobby Clint I think Devin Carter is a great guy for them Devon Carter basically was raised in that building and ton Salon maybe a Kyle filipowski depends on how the draft Falls there could be multiple guys that fit their way but I think they want somebody with two-way potential and that can make an impact right now and with the the four or third pick they’ll get a heat guy that you know no one can predict so for the financial side of things War Janowski has reported that Miami wants to trade for a star you know there’s Rumblings that you know Zack LaVine Dame Donovan now m i mean maybe Darius Garland there’s Jeremy Grant Anthony Simons so Miami could go out and try to get somebody but Miami is projected to be a second apron team next offseason meaning the he will be at a significant disadvantage when trying to get into the conversation if a player does become available they have two Financial Windows right now the heat are currently constructed as a team that is $5.1 million over the first apron and 5.2 million below the second because the Apen restrictions in new in the new CBA Miami is not allowed to take back more money in a trade than it sends out or use its three existing trade exceptions of 9.5 million 7.2 million 6.5 million if the heat send down money or aggregate contracts as part of a trade between now in June 30th the $19.6 million second apron hard cap is triggered for next season which will make it difficult to make a trade for a disgruntled star starting July 1st Miami has $1 189.5 million in salary and is right at the second April When taking into account its first round pick that they will draft if they keep that pick the four player options that they have and heroes unlikely bonuses Martin makes 7.1 love makes four Richardson makes 3.1 Brian makes 2.8 and each have until June 29th to opt out as their current free agent situation is Martin’s a player option Brian’s a player option Kevin Love’s a player option Jamal Kane ad dondis Williams and Cole schwier are all restricted free agents Josh Ron’s also a player option D R Patty Mills and Haywood heith are all unrestricted free agents now that’s what they need to understand so Butler’s future is you know it’s interesting because before he came they had missed the playoffs in two of the last three seasons had not reached the FI the finals since 2014 and since Butler has came they’ve Advanced the three Conference Finals two NBA Finals in the past five seasons Butler is one of nine players that have higher career averages and points rebounds assist and Steals and blocks in the playoffs compared to the regular season this past season Butler was one of a players average 20 points on 40% from three and 85% on free throws but for all that Butler is turning 35 years old in September and failed to play more than 65 games in each of the Past Four Seasons but saw his field goal percentage dropped from 54% to 50% this year and he struggles to finish at The Rim now as he’s lost a little bit of a step and per second Spectrum Butler shot 44 44% on drives this season seven worst in the entire NBA among players who attempted at least 250 field goal attempts and 59% on layups and dunks last season he shot 52% on drives and 63% on layups and dunks so you can see that it was a significant drop in statistical you know you know like efficiency so Butler owed almost 50 million 48.8 million next season with a player option in the following year for 25 to 26 of 52.4 starting July 7th he could sign a one-year 58.6 million extension keeping the current 2025 26 salary intact or a 2-year 11 12.9 million extension voiding the player option which then would make it like a 56 million ion doar deal per year now the he need to decide whether they have to reward Butler with a new contract is in the best interest long term for the franchise or analyze what type of moves they can do to maybe get ready for the future now bam out is the guy that they need to extend he’s expected to be an all defensive team member for the fif straight season he’ll be eligible for a 3ye 165 million deal the New Deal will start at $ 51.2 million in 26 to 27 he’ll be 29 years old and adab is one of seven players to defend at least 175 shots in the half court against guards fors and centers he held opponents to 48% effective field goal percentage as the contesting Defender which ranked top 10 all right top 10 in the NBA so right now for me I think a guy like bam is the the one that you’re building around and how you can get people to come over because he ranked top 10 among players who contested at least 8 800 shots according to spe second backr so he rank he ranked second in defense efficiency with more I mean bam out of a on the floor now guys that if Min extends or Min opts into his player option he can be extended as well as Haywood heith before June 30th can be extended so caner Rosier and Duncan Robinson as of July 30th so they need to move on from Robinson just move on from him Rosier I think you can keep he could be that six-man that I’m talking about you move on from hero so they need a facilitating point guard and bench depth and when you look at the this team they were you know the one of they were bottom five in rebounds and also you know a bottom they’re the 12th worst pass assist team so when we look at the free agents that they could go after real quickly it’s not it’s not super spicy like tus Jones might be too rich for them and the players that they start to look at the market like here once we get to the market that they could actually maybe they could get a yonas B chunis but bam out bio and him don’t work next to each other so he’d be coming off the bench buddy healed would be cool but does he make you lose too much of Defense as they need point guard depth I mean point a facility a true point guard and then just bench that they owe the Thunder their first round pick in 25 top 14 protected but are allowed to trade their own 2024 pick starting on the night of the draft the pick out to the Thunder will be unprotected 26 if not conveyed in 25 the heat also owe a first round pick to Charlotte if the pick conveys to OKC in 25 the heat will have to give the 27 top 14 protected to Charlotte that pick would be unprotected till 2028 the heat are allowed to trade a first round pick two years after the conditions to Charlotte have been met starting in 28 or 29 and Miami has three second round picks so going back to that cavius K Pope’s the guy that they would love to bring in as a bench guy but or like a depth guy I don’t know if that’s going to happen Gordon hayward’s a guy that they might be able to get cheap a four spacing forward like sadique Bay who can play small ball power forward and is a good rebounder would be someone that they love to get out of bargain if Caleb Martin leaves or is too rich I just don’t I think getting Isaac aurl would be cool like there’s guys out there at the wing position that I think they can build up their depth easily I’m not worried about that Miami attracts people who want to go there because of the heat culture plus it’s Miami and there’s no income tax but point guard wise I think tyus Jones is going to be too expensive I mean marel is the best guy that is probably going to be in the price range who’s an athletic league guard who can defend thanks to his like wingspan and his quickness he’s a solid playmaker he’s a good shooter at the rim and he can do hit the mid-range but he doesn’t shoot any three-pointers like really bad he averaged eight points three rebounds and three assists this season it was like reduced to a backup roll I don’t think Reggie Jackson Kyle Lowry Pat Bev are coming through that door Chris dun’s a defensive specialist who’s really improved as a three-point shooter he could be someone Dennis Smith could be someone that they Tred to Reclamation project maybe Jose Alvarado they think they can tap that in he can become something more than the seven points two rebounds and two assists he puts up a night I don’t think campign Monte Morris kellyan Hayes or Malik Malachi Flynn are going to really help you there and then there isn’t really any combo guards that you could convert I mean bring in Bruce Brown if he declines that team option I think he’s going to be he’s going to be too expensive maybe a Malik Beasley oh it’s just hard to see Aon Walker would be cool to help the bench out I just don’t know if there’s a true point guard out there and then trade-wise who’s out there for them to get available and that’s where I start the my head start to spend who can they send who can they go for I don’t know I don’t think there’s an easy answer right there so I want to hear your guys’ thoughts in the comment section what do you think they should do but that’s my preview peace out

Duncan was injuried to his credit, we drafting our derrick white in devin carter
Trade herro and butler. Get young stars that can last 82 games. Get some bigs and guys who can actually make a shot when it counts.
Rebuild with Bam and JJJ I know jovic has potential but rather have bam at PF and have Miami draft a true center and yeah Keep Rozier as well but besides bam JJJ Rozier anyone else should be tradeable
make a move for mikal bridges
Jovic jaquez butler Rozier and Robinson get a pass for not being healthy and bam for being the only one doing anything as for everyone else off with there heads to the trade blocks they go but I don’t mind keeping k love lol
They need to trade,Herro,Martin,Mills,Richardson,Love and yes Buttler. They need a Lauri Marketin,Kyle Kuzma,Collin Sexton, and build with Bam,JJJ,Jovic,Rozier,Duncan Cain,Swider Orlando Robinson,Wright, and Bryant. But those 6 players must go,and get under the 2nd tier. Go with a 13 man roster, hell,SPO hardly players,9 to 13 anyway.
Trade Jimmy to OKC for Jaylen Williams and OKc 2024 #12 first rd pick.
Then trade Herro to Orlando for Jet Howard and their 2024 first rd pick or future pick. Orlando sends Salary filler if needed.
Next, trade 2 or 3 of the 2024 first rd picks, Jet Howard, rozier for Dmitch. If needed include Jaime or Jovic. preferably Jovic cause of size.
Sign Malik Monk for a six man roll(Good friend of Bam)
Starting 5:
Donovan
Jaylen
Jaime or Jovic
First rd pick
Bam
I like Jaylen Williams talent a lot he’s the co star to Shai and has Superstar potential.
Trade everyone not named Jim and Bam .

Duncan was injured bro😅..he was basically a decoy
The Heat should sign Kris Dunn long-term for perimeter defense frfr
