GET UP | “Denver in 7” – Tim Legler CONFIDENT Jokic will carry Nuggets to win series vs. T-Wolves
very latest on the incident that took place just outside of Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville Kentucky this morning that has delayed the start of play for the second round of the PGA Championship an incident in which the number one golfer in the world Scotty Sheffer has been arrested we will have more on that and if there are any further details new developments you will certainly get them immediately in the meantime we will go through a very busy morning in sports Allan Han is here Tim legler Monica mcnut are with us and let’s go to last night in Minneapolis where there was so much on the line in game six Allen of this second round series wolves trying to keep their season alive Denver would come out hot early and then the Wolves would just take the game over completely Anthony Edwards getting it started yeah he he was Plus 43 in this game but he also gave credit to the return of Mike connley which freed him up defensively in this game connley played great Carl Anthony towns yes played very well you see here the Wolves putting together a N9 nothing run to start taking control of the game and then it continues here we go Nas Reed and then we got Jaden Daniels and the wolves are up by 15 points 18 fast break points look who was running a lot harder in this game who was the desperate team it was Minnesota who hadn’t won a a home game yet in this series and now they have Edwards burying a three wolves have a 19-point lead at halftime with the nuggets come back in the second half that’s the question the answer definitively no here we go on the defensive it Anthony had watch this move oh right there oh my goodness Anthony Edwards with the nasty fake and the flush and the wolves are up by 24 points and it would continue the lead would go as many as 50 now here was the only bad moment for Anthony Edwards and the Wolves down he goes please don’t let him be hurt good thing to be 22 years old and be able to recover and that was certainly a moment where you held your breath because he has been so spectacular he has been breathtaking but that moment certainly was one where the Timberwolves and their fans held their breath the good news he would not miss a moment of game action he seemed fine knocks down to three here he would score 20 7 again the Wolves would win by 45 points and Anthony Edwards would let the fans know what’s coming up it’s Sunday in Denver it’ll be game seven so to the MVP what exactly happened here they beat our ass they were better than us in every segment of the game and uh we need to accept it you know take it and uh just try to try to be better next time did you really tell the locker room Stafford in Denver you were going to be back for hell yeah they know y was in there yeah I told them I said I see y’all for game seven and they will and that will be coming up on Sunday legler I’m trying to make sense of these NBA playoffs and I just can’t I I if you had told me Minnesota was going to win this game you would not have surprised me I actually picked them if you had told me they were going to be winning by 50 points in the second half I would not have taken that bet how do you explain it impossible to explain and nobody here can explain this right again what you just said I would agree with no one is shocked that Minnesota won the game they hadn’t won a home game yet in this series they’re the number one defensive team in the league they’ve got a young Superstar player so you would think yeah they can get a game at home but you would have thought the way Denver operated offensively in the last three games they would Minnesota would have had to win this game late in a one possession game where they made the plays and Denver didn’t and no one would have been surprised by that getting it back to Denver for a game seven instead we got what we saw last night and it was incredible to me the reversal because I’ve said repeatedly greeny I don’t recall a bigger 180 degree turn than I saw from game two in this series when Minnesota Domin dominated him like this to games three four and five I I just don’t recall a team looking that inep offensively flipping it around the way Denver did and I’ll say the same thing about this reversal what I just saw in 3 four and five is a 100 80° turn now in game six so nobody could say they honestly expected Minnesota to put it on them to that extent last night at the end of the day we’re where I thought we they would be at the beginning of the series but not in this manner which is a game seven in Denver that’s what I picked before the series started and here we are but I never expected this kind of ride to get there yeah they’ve taken The Road Less travel to get exactly where we expected them to be which is game seven between these two bizarrely evenly match teams which it’ll be Sunday it’ll either be in the afternoon or the night on Sunday for game seven depending upon what happens with Nicks Pacers tonight so Monica because of the the sort of um our time got compressed a little bit from what we were expecting due to the events down south let’s let’s go directly to game seven in a series that has been impossible to predict what do you expect who has the advantage going into that game Denver’s at home Minnesota’s riding this hot night who do you give the edge to greeny Advantage momentum Uncle Mo as it is affectionately called is sitting Courtside and watching uh eating popcorn like it I don’t know who has the advantage Like You could argue that perhaps the nuggets have a slight Advantage because they’re going home but literally based on what we’ve seen in this series I could if you told me that Anthony Edwards certified himself that the conversation of us comparing him to Michael Jordan is appropriate by coming in and leading his team into a victory taking it away from the defending champs I’d buy it if you told me that Nicola yic and Jamal Murray were like nah let’s remind you who we are I totally buy that too and so for me I don’t I legitimately do not know who has the advantage in this one I think that Minnesota Timberwolves are growing right in front of our eyes and they are quite all right being the villains if they need to be and then we’re really seeing how do the Nuggets respond when they’ve been tested yes they responded after the first two games but the big response is looming on Sunday Han I always love people who are in here who start out as Sports riters because in your notes this morning I thought you perfectly defined what is at stake on both sides for joic and for ED Edwards on Sunday in gam absolutely Legacy game Bry and that’s exactly what you’re setting up for and that’s what Anthony Edwards earned himself with this game six win and I love that Anthony Edwards gave credit to teammates Mike connley coming in coming back that helped me talking about in the locker room he talked about call Anthony towns and he talked about the impact he had because they made a great defensive switch and they did what the Lakers did instead of goar guarding joic he had goar ofam and call Anthony towns was guarding him so all those things that Anthony Edwards has done shows as a young guy he’s a leader game seven on the road you talk about don’t want to make comparisons to Michael Jordan sorry you win that game that that comparison continues but for joic another Legacy game we talked about it going after being down 02 going into Minnesota he’s got to play he’s got to show up he did but there’s an interesting stat that I saw on basketball reference that blew my mind this is now the 15th time a a current MVP will play in a game seven the previous 14 times the MVP lost eight of those 14 so history doesn’t suggest that it’s going to go well for joic but it has to because last year the argument about the Nuggets were they were not tested they’re being tested in this series huge game for yic at home one other massive Factor here which you did not see in the Highlight was that Jamal Murray got hurt early in this game running the floor he bumped into Rudy goar and he hurt he appeared to injure his elbow and was favoring it and hurt it and whether that was the reason or not he wound up shooting four of 18 last night two of seven from three here’s the play you’re going to see him coming across and there right runs right into goar So that obviously is a huge factor in this he said he was concerned after the game doesn’t sure how he was going to feel for game seven that’s huge that’s exactly right he said afterwards hopefully they’ll get me to a place where I’m right and when you first saw this here you thought oh my goodness he’s not going to play he did play the rest of the night but he clearly wasn’t himself that’s a huge Factor legs who do you expect to win this unpredictable battle in game seven Sunday yeah look I agree with a lot of what Monica said and Allan had that’s a great number uh with the with the game sevens by an MVP and they’ve lost eight of those I’m curious I don’t know the data how many of those were at home cuz I think we know historically what game sevens look like typically the vast majority of those games are won by the home team and in this situation I know what Minnesota has done to them in two games in this series but I’m going to bank on nikic at the end of the day who do you trust the most in this situation like this I’m going to go with Nicola yic and I’m going to go with homec court advantage but right this is a legacy game and this also could be the inside track to winning an NBA championship who wins this game absolutely uh we’ll have much more on this as we go again our morning has been thrown into a little bit of a not not what we expected here but we’ll have much more time to get into this as we go and as I mentioned the start time for that game on Sunday will be determined by what happens tonight in Indiana that’s where Monica is we’ll get to the other huge game tonight in Indie Nicks Pacers Rick Carlile had strong words for his team yesterday you will hear what they were coming up plus we’ll get to the NFL schedule huge Prime Time push for the Jets is that a good sign or a bad sign will answer those questions and we’ll see if Graziano can answer this one early Trivia today here we go which Jets quarterback has the best total qbr in a single season since that metric began in 20 6 that’s the question answer is next you’re watching get up on ESPN got your tickets yes spee a for for that for for for for for fore

The golfer needs to be plastered all over ESPN, but you know he won't be.
The Minnesota Timberwolves basketball game put on the show last night. I really believe they will win this series with the Denver Nuggets then go to win seven and go on and win the championship green Michael Green, ESPN and let you know.
I believe that last night Nuggets put their footh of the pedal to soon, saying we will handle this at home. Hope that doesnt come as a boomerang in game 7 before home crowd. Minesota looks great but my heart is with big Fella there so go Nuggets!
Wolves will be destroyed in Denver
I feel like the nba is rigged and it’s all about viewer ratings the other teams playing aren’t pulling in this much views nba wants that game 7 money they know what they’re doing look at the interviews with Edwards after the loss games he’s always smiling and laughing like he knows something we don’t
Off night
The amount of open shots Denver missed is embarrassing. If you paid close enough attention Minnesota played good, not great defense
“They beat our ass” 😂😂😂
Only the naive don't see that Denver is kidding. Most of the match, Denver's defense consists of getting out of the opponent's way! The seventh match will be a terrible trial for Minnesota!
This massive loss actually will make Jokic and Nuggets angry, just like game 2 was as a wake up call. Timberwolves will go in Denver with confidence, but shouldn't think it will be as easy as game 6, otherwise they would be badly surprised. Basically, game 7 is huge because whoever wins this series, might end up winning the chip.
denver took that game like its just a breaktime. they did not play at all. they handed that game to the wolves fan as a token of the NBA appreciation
0:56 – illegal foot stop by Towns
5:52 repeated dislodging by ANT.
MPJ had an absolutely terrible game 6. People talking about Murray mostly, but MPJ was absent on offense, and completely broke down on defense and the defensive boards over-and-over. MPJ is a big dude with unnaturally long arms, but has been playing like an aging 6'4" guard with his feet cemented to the floor most of this series.
Who ever the asian guy is that is posting all the espn stuff.. very smart…your getting paid
I honestly believe Game 7 will be an absolutely incredible game for both teams. Close game, Nuggets win. 👏🏻
