This series was a constant reminder that 1) we desperately need a true big man in the paint, and 2) this team is very young still needs time mature.

That stretch from the timeout at 3:39 to the timeout at 0:27 in the fourth was just peak playoff basketball man. Elite shot making, close game, hyped crowd. So fun.

Derrick Lively has an incredible future
This ending is nightmare fuel for Shaq.
Tanking for Derrick Lively was the right call by the Mavs. If they didn’t shut Luka down at the end of last season to keep the pick and get Lively, I doubt they would have made it back to the WCF this year. Insane poise on the court and mental fortitude for a rookie, especially losing his mom right before the playoffs.
