Watching the ending to the okc/Mavs yesterday immediately reminded me of the controversial ending of the Celtics/pacers game during the regular season. I feel like it was the same exact situation with jaylen brown getting fouled by heild but yet it was overturned as not a foul because heild got the ball first but last night's foul was not overturned.
This is the play from earlier in the season. How is this not the same situation as last night play?

Adam Silver called it in
This game was INFURIATING to watch at the end. The ref ball was painful
I think the difference is that in the game last night he did touch the ball first, but then also hit the forearm before the ball was released. If he had touched the ball as it was being released and then the forearm after the ball was already out of the shooter’s hand, that would not be a foul. At least that’s how I understood the explanation.
So similar with the uncalled foul on Tatum that got him ejected

That game lives rent-free in my head dude. We’ve seen so many times that hit on JB be called a foul since this game. We were robbed TWICE in 20 seconds

It is the same.
But if you bring it up people will call you a conspiracy theorist. Shit is so fucking infuriating.
