NBA Draft stock risers that the Wizards could target. Brandon Ingram rumors.

players who their draft stock has been rising and could be targets of the Washington Wizards if they indeed trade back into the lottery and who knows they may rise up to maybe in targets at the number two overall pick but we’re gonna take a look at both of these gentlemen and then Brandon Ingram there’s rumors out there that Wizards could be interested but could he fit and does he fit the timeline in the 202 and we’re gonna get into some other news about the washingt Wizards so um before we get into the couple candidates I look at for um who are definitely their draft stock is definitely Rising um but we’re going to get into some quick news real quick former hit coach Westell Jr has been hired by the Chicago Bulls to be their top assistant coach so Westell I don’t know if this is a promotion or demotion considering he was quote unquote uh promoted to the front office and Washington but I think we all know what it is um but definitely um want to wish him the West U wish him the best that is uh going forward in Chicago man but you know as we know guys um you know just couldn’t do it a head coach man but I definitely think he could be a very successful assistant coach man but you know just couldn’t get it done at head coach and now you know we’re looking forward to possibly Brian Keef so let’s get into it everybody a couple of players that their draft stock has been rising over the last couple weeks and they very well could be targets of the Washington Wizards if the Washington Wizards do trade back into the lottery this NBA draft so we’re GNA start with the first player Cody Williams out of the University of Colorado so Tak looking at Cody Williams he is the brother of Jaylen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder so looking at Cody Williams real quick 68 190 pounds he is a 19 year old forward um looking at the stat line real quick 28 minutes played he averaged 11.9 points a game three rebounds a game one assist a game while shooting 55.2% from free uh field goal and three-point percentage was 41.5% so looking at stat line obviously I mean the points I mean if you look at the minutes um 11.9 points you kind of want to see more to a certain degree uh but he is 19 um and he’s is a more of a defensive type of player we’re going to get to that in a minute but um obviously you want to see his rebound number especially at 68 being in the forward go up especially with 20 minutes play but you know he they average round three rebounds and they won Assist U look at this uh field goal percentage obviously the league average for the NBA is 45% so he did shoot 550 uh 45% but he did shoot 55% uh he did shoot 55.2% to be precise he definitely hits that Mark with his size I see a lot of his shot his shots as mid-range and him driving the lane but like I said we’re gonna get into his pros and cons in a minute uh three-point shot percentage 41.5 so obviously um well over a League average but we’re gonna talk about it you know that definitely still an area he needs to work on so looking at the pros for Cody Williams man I mean before we get into Pros I mean look at the size 68 you know Ford 190 pounds so he is a tweener as far as the weight um so you definitely want to see him get stronger maybe add five 10 pounds they get stronger especially if he wants to play power forward uh looking at some of his Pros off Ball scoring he does well scoring being an off ball scorer man in my opinion he moves well without the ball uh number two transition scoring he is money in transition he can definitely roll down the lane man and he can definitely roll and transition and definitely definitely help with the offense that wants to get faster and we’re looking at the Washi Wizards that is because that indeed is a goal for the Washi Wizards this up coming season is that they want to make this team faster in transition and if you look at Cody Williams man his ability to score in transition I think would be a good component to a future offense especially an offense where they move the ball and they move fast in transition uh number three as far as his Pros man the biggest area I see and the biggest area I like about Cody Williams is his Elite defense he is an elite Defender so he’s gonna come in at 68 and he’s going to be very polished defensively now does he kind of fit in the mold of the last couple players that um the last couple well not the the last couple but a couple players that we already have on the watching Wizards and davia and bl Kabal absolutely whereas the de his defense is Elite level defense now is while his offensive tool set is actually a little more advanced where than where bow is and where Denny was coming out of the draft you definitely want to see more consistency on his offensive side but his defense is Elite in my opinion um so looking at the cons obviously not biggest con would Cody Williams man is his three-point shot I mean yes his his really his stats are a little confusing in my opinion because um while his three-point shot is something he definitely needs to work on on a consistent basis you know he shot 41.5 per at Colorado so I mean especially in 28 minutes so the sample size to me is you know you kind of want to see more and and it kind of leads to the final con which is he’s very raw I mean he’s 19 years old and while his defense is a elite level defense his offense needs consistency and he definitely needs needs a lot more touches and he needs to be put into a system or an environment where he’s going to be able to get more touches and so that question is can that be in DC um like I said the um he’s definitely guy that I would definitely Target if we trade back into the lobby now his draft stock is rising now is he somebody who looking at the mock drafts is available everybody’s available but that you see a lot of mock drafts is drafting at number two no you don’t I mean most of the time with the mock draft you’re looking at nicoa topz you’re looking at Ron Holland you’re looking at Zachary re sh uh you’re looking at kingan man Donathan kinging at a university Connecticut so but I think he’s definitely a guy where if we trade back into the first or not the first round but back into the lottery he needs to be a Target because we are indeed going into year two of for rebuild and we need young assets man and looking at the fact that you know his brother plays for OKC well Dawkin was part of that front office you know there’s a couple things that kind of intrigue you as far as um the networking behind the scenes because um he’s intriguing in my opinion again looking at the side man he is very very intriguing because I like the size now was weight you know looking at his Scouting Report man he is a little bit of a twinner so um I would personally like to see him gain about five 10 pounds because depending you know even if he wants to be on the wing at the three he’s got to be able to have a little bit of muscle to be be able to guard some of these bigger wings or power forwards in my opinion so that is one thing he needs to work on but you know his off Ball scoring his his transition scoring he can definitely be a scoring threat and I think that the fact that he’s very raw yes he’s 19 years old so he’s very very young definitely fits what this team team is trying to do is bring in young players um but his defense is very intriguing y’all I mean for a team that really wants to create a defensive identity which I think they should this is the type of player that again if they indeed trade back into the lottery you need to Target Cody Williams in my opinion because he’s very athletic he’s a guy who’s shown that he can score now again I said that the the stats a little weird because 11.9 points a game three rebounds a game and then obviously looking at the stats especially in 20 minute 28 minutes played you definitely want to see the scoring go up to the lead 15 points a game and rebounds I mean definitely needs to go up considering he’s a 68 forward but like I said he’s very very raw man so um that part of his game is definitely something that’s gonna be um developed and I think that he can really develop into a really good three and D player in the NBA so again uh this is definitely a guy that I would definitely Target um if I was the Washington Wizards if they indeed trade back into the lottery which a lot of Reports say they’re trying to do um and I think they definitely should because again going into you two rebu and the name of the game this year and I’m not looking forward to even though there’s lot more bigger names in next year’s draft you definitely want to grab a couple guys and not three guys in this draft to Scout and develop man and definitely definitely see if you can turn them into not only quality starters but maybe future Allstars because um Will Dawkins and Michael Winger themselves said that they believe they are a couple of All-Stars in this draft and yes a lot of experts are not very high on this draft but look not every draft is a sexy draft man the draft that jiannis answer to Copo was was drafted in I mean that was not a sexy draft at all I believe that was a draft where uto Porter was drafted in Washington so we all vividly remember that draft but I mean you know not nothing against AO Porter man came and did his job man um at his draft position obviously you know you wanted to see more but very successful career so definitely especially he just R um recently retired so definitely shout out to uto Porter man but uh again Cody Williams is a guy that I would definitely Target if we trade back into the lottery there’s another candidate that I really really like and he’s out of France man there a big year for French players man and this kid I think can also be a quality 3 indd Prospect if we indeed trade back into the first or the lottery that is so we’re gonna get into toan salon but before we do tonight’s episode is you can’t miss analysis opinions and news streaming 247 on YouTube or the free Amazon Fire TV channels app part of the locked on podcast Network your team every single day all right everybody let’s get into it uh the next player is ton Salon out of France man and he is a lot like Cody Williams and I’m G get into but um very similar to his skill set man and I really like this kid man i’ I’ve been looking at him for the last couple weeks man looking at his SC report and I’m telling you he’s a baller so let’s get into it man um ton Salon is a 69 Ford 18 years old 212 pounds so look at that the statistics real quick in 228 minute now 22.8 minutes played he averaged 9.4 points 3.9 rebounds 0.8 assists while shooting 40.2% from field gold Range so H uh 3point percentage was 33.1% so again looking at the statistics before we look at the pros and cons um obviously you know 22 minutes so he’s scoring around 10 points a game around 9.4 um again at his size you definitely want to see the rebound numbers go up um but he’s very very young 18 years old um Phil gesen is you want to see around 45 obviously the league average 45 is shooting 40 so um three-point the same you you definitely want to see around 35 he’s shooting around 331 .1% um so looking at the stats looking at the numbers um I don’t think it really tells the whole story about how good this kid can be yes um the you know I get it the sample size is a little small I mean 20 22 Point minutes per game but he is very very raw I mean and um we’re gonna get into that in a minute but’s he’s 18 years old so he is oozing with Potential from both sides of the ball and it kind of leads into the next point the pros what is his Pros number one floor spacer look at that his scouting report and look at that his tape playing in France man he can score his his shot release is fluid he’s got a nice form he’s got a nice fast release he’s got a high release I really really like this kid I mean he’s shown that he can be athletic he can drive the lane the biggest thing with him is he’s very raw which is the con I’m just gonna tell you right now that’s the con the biggest con about this kid is that he’s raw he’s very very raw man but he can definitely develop in the right system in the right environment with the right coaching staff into a three and D player man who can in my opinion could be a future Allstar in my opinion and that’s how highly I see this kid because both him and Cody Williams are both really high cealing players man they’re both very very raw and they have a lot of work to do as far definitely they have to be developed man you know they are far from being complete packages and both uh tojan salon and um Cody Williams they both are going to need to be developed but it again it put in the right system in the right environment under the right coaching staff and the right surrounding cast around him as far as leadership I think both of these guys can really really be good players if not future stars in my opinion um because I they have really high ceilings they have very big upsid so you know looking at the what I said earlier man you know these two guys and obviously we looked at other candidates and other um looking you know as far as trading back into the lottery and I get it you know um a lot of people getting on me a little bit not a lot but a few people saying you know um We’re not gonna draft this guy but I gotta do my due diligence right you I gotta talk about every Prospect and look at every angle and look at every capability of this front office which is one of them is trading back into the lottery and these two gentlemen man right here I think this is the perfect place for them to develop and become really good players so like I said um I definitely think we should definitely trade back into the lottery right now we have what the number two overall pick number 26 and number 51 so you know my biggest thing and this is what I’ve been kind of pushing forward um on this channel another allice is why not put a veteran player such as Kyle kusma uh which yeah is not a player you necessarily need to move but look this is a good draft for development so if you can match Kyle kman and his contract and pair it with the number 26 pick maybe you and I think there’s a high chance that they can definitely trade back into the lottery man and they can get a couple of really high upside players out of this draft man um so that that’s what I think they should do and I think that if you look at two candidates that you definitely need to Target is these two gentlemen because they are oozing with potential man a couple other things to look at with um ton um floor space we already talked about that defensive potential now his defense you see the potential defensively you know you definitely now one are the things he needs to work on definitely lateral movement on the defense chy and stay in front of um he can strugg at times with faster guys and stand in front of faster guys especially with guards man but his defensive potential is oozing he has the potential to be a three and D um you definitely see the where he could be a better Defender it just it comes down to technique right developing these guys you know show them proper technique um but the efforts there he’s definitely you know definitely put a lot of effort on the defensive side man so like I said his defense is not broken he’s G have to be developed but I think he can develop into a definite three and D player in my opinion but yeah the biggest con is he he is raw he’s very very raw man it reminds a lot me a lot about Bala kulali where you know defensively you see the potential now he’s a little more more he’s a little more polished than Bal off defensively in my opinion um because his shot is on point it’s just I think it comes with repetition he’s only 18 years old he only played 22 minutes um I get the sample size you know doesn’t really scream at you you know especially shooting 40% from the field and 33% from three but I I I definitely charge you guys man take a look at a Scouting Report man and definitely comment below and let me go know what you guys think because through my eyes man as a basketball analyst man I’m saying right now the kid is going to be good he really is and he’s very young and I think and that and really the age for both Cody will who was 19 and to Jean Salon is at 18 man is the biggest Point too is their age man you know they’re very young but we’ve got enough of a time right because it’s all about development with the watching wizard right now scouting in development and trying to scout and develop young assets that get you know definitely add to the young Foundation we have here in DC but again everybody before we move on I would definitely if the Wizards are intent on trading back into the lottery I would definitely recommend them in Cody Williams Andor tojon Salon because I think both of these guys have the potential had the drive the work ethic and the skill set to be three and D Wings in the future they’re do have to be developed in they’re very very raw but I think they can definitely be developed into three and D Wings man so we’re gonna take a look at some rumors man that suggest that the Wizards may be interested in Brandon Ingram should they be interested in him and how would he fit the timeline and how would he fit on the roster but we’re going to talk about that in a minute but before we do turn into tonight’s episode is brought to you by fandel so it’s win to take all in the NBA player props and more all you have to do is V visit fanduel.com lockon and make every playoff shot count FanDuel America’s number one sports book all right everybody let’s get back into it um so last thing under the genda the night um there were rumors that the Washington Wizards are interested in maybe acquiring Brandon Ingram should they be and does he fit the timeline let’s get into it so before we get into my opinion whether he does they should go after him and whether he fits let’s take a look at BR Brandon Ingram who people call KD light or KD 2.0 and he um if he indeed comes to Washington we would actually be his third team obviously drafted by the LA Lakers sent to New Orleans in the lon ball trade um sending Lonzo ball to New Orleans but he was I don’t know why I said the Lonzo ball trade the Anthony Davis trade because he was a headliner right um he was he came over to the the Pelicans with the Anthony Davis trade sending him to LA and you know his best season was last season of 2022 to 2023 season where he averaged 24.7 points a game but this was he started more games this season than he did any other year starting 64 games so look at you know and he look at some other numbers real quick this year he actually averaged 20.8 points a game and he shot 49. 49% from the field 35% from three he averaged around 5.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists those numbers do scream at me because he is more of a complete player you know he definitely his assist numbers are really really where I want to see Guy um see see him play in my opinion because he’s more of a complete player you know he looks to get other people involved he gives up there he gives rebounds um and of course he’s a scor man and so I’ve I’ve always been pretty high on Brandon Nigam um let’s take a look at his at his contract real quick next year is his last year of his rookie extension and he’s being paid next uh this season coming up $ 36 million so if we tried to obtain him obviously it would have to be via trade and um this is through Troy halberton a shout out to my man Troy Halton on Twitter definitely any Insider news on the Wast Wizards definitely consider um following Troy halber on Twitter AKA X um and he made it known that the organization said per Insider um that they you know if they make any trades do you know it’s not gonna be with picks picks are off the table right now for the watching Wizards and that is coming from the front office of Michael Winger Will Dawkins and Travis schlink which is if they try to attain the player man it’s not gonna be with picks because right now they’re trying to obtain picks and not give away picks man especially first round picks man so let’s get into it right real quick um should they go after him let me say this man if we were not in a rebuild yes I like Brandon Ingram i’ I’ve liked him for a long time you know he’s a scorer he’s a dog and if you look at the statistics like we did his assist numbers are on point you know he’s definitely looking to get other people involved his rebound numbers definitely like man um he’s a scorer like I said he’s a guy who is a walking basket that’s why they call him Kevin Durant 2.0 because he’s a guy who’s a pure scorer man but should we go after him no you know we’re in a rebuild man and we already got forwards that we need to develop in Denny avad because Denny still needs to develop same with Bel kulali same with Corey kisber um if we weren’t rebuilding absolutely I would love brenon Ingram here man but we’re rebuilding and I don’t see you know it would take a little bit to acquire him obviously New Orleans the New Orleans Pelicans they’re gonna have to choose between Brandon Ingam and and Zion Williamson which is you know another subject for another day for another organization because we the Wizards here right so um you know they’re possibly looking to move him but what it would take to acquire him on why would he want to come to Washington after one year anyways you will give up assets to acquire him and then turn around he he’s probably not going to resign unless the money’s really good and even with that man why we’re a year or two of a rebuild so I don’t think that the Washington Wizard should go after brand like I said if this was not a rebuild I would love BR room on this team man and I’ll be rushing to get him signed to a long-term deal man but we’re in a rebuild and I think that the Focus as far as forward should definitely be on Denny and get him solidified as a 3 andd and making it official um with him being a 3D player definitely getting bow where needs to be definitely getting Cory kissper where he needs to be and what other you know forward prospects we have man but right now I don’t want to see us very active in the trade scenarios or even free agency because right now is scouting and development time right now seeing what you have in these young guys and who’s part of the future and I don’t think we should go after Brandon Ingram um because like I said look look at how much we’ll probably have to give up to acquire him and he’s an aspiring deal and why would he want to be in Washington considering we’re in a rebuild and we’re probably two three years away from taking that final steps towards contention right adding you know a player or you know whatever but um he doesn’t fit the timeline and so this is a tough position because there’s a lot of players who could potentially be on the market Mel Bridges from Brooklyn Nets could potentially be you know not tradeable asset there’s a lot of names emerging right now and that’s why this man is like the timing because you see a lot of guys who we could potentially go out there and get if we weren’t a rebuilding team but it’s all right because we’re going to keep the faith we’re going to keep the faith we’re gonna definitely be patient and let’s let the front office the big three in the front office do their jobs and let them cook man because I think we’re definitely hit down the right direction but so I’m g go ahead and say no everybody definitely comment below let me know what you think but I wouldn’t go after Brennon Ingram and it’s not because I don’t like him because I love me some Brandon Ingram man but he doesn’t fit the timeline and it just it doesn’t fit there’s there’s no aspect of a future acquisition of Brandon Ingram that really helps in these young guys and it really doesn’t help the trajectory of the franchise I mean we’re not you know Brandon Ingram himself is not gonna make us a playoff team you know even if you combine him with veterans like KY kosma even if it’ll bring back a TI Jones and I don’t think they should do all it I mean you know obviously looking at the veteran contracts on this team Kyle kman you know he’s definitely has been more of a plus than a minus for this team you know but he’s a Team friendly deal do you need do you need to move him no but eventually you probably will um but you know Kyle kman and Ty Jones would not be a surround a Supporting Cast that if you acquired Brandon Ingram would make us a playoff team it’s just not I mean at this point you know we’re we’re going to the year two of a rebuild right now is scouting in development and sooner or later they’re going to start the youth movement and I don’t think they need to go after Brandon engam so that’s my opinion you know obviously um you guys comment below let me know what you guys are thinking um if we weren’t rebuilding I would love bi in the 202 man but right now he doesn’t fit and unfortunately he’s probably going to be H it elsewhere so um definitely comment below let me know what you guys are thinking man um and again appreciate you guys as always showing up and showing your boy some love man and rocking with your boy so I will see you guys next time so Hail to the Wizards and peace everybody have a good evening

We don't need Ingram.
