This is Just the BEGINNING for the Oklahoma City Thunder…
yo what’s going on y’all it’s con back here again today with another video and today we’ve got to talk for a bit about the Oklahoma City Thunder as well as the Dallas Mavericks I’m recording this right after game six of Thunder Dallas wrapped up and congratulations to the Mavericks they went ahead and won this series four games to two winning game six by one point and what was a ridiculous game uh if I was a neutral fan might have enjoyed it more instead I was sitting here trying not to go into cardiac arrest as a thunder fan it was ridiculous thunder came out hot shooting actually knocking down their threes like they did all regular season haven’t done much at all this series though and took a 16-point lead into halftime I believe that’s what it was they’re looking great but the Mavericks storm back the Thunder’s three-point shooting dried up a little bit Luke and Kyrie started to get going they were starting to win the rebounding battle by a lot more turning the ball over less and in the second half they took a lead they went up by like five in the final few minutes the Thunder stormed right back Shay with some unbelievable shots and we’ll talk a lot about him in this video but in the end uh PJ Washington gets a three-point shot in the corner with the game tied to try and go and take lead and Shay goes ahead and he hits the ball first but because it didn’t move and he ends up hitting the arm afterwards it was a foul so Mark Dell challenged it goes to the free throw line PJ Washington after they confirm it as a foul call he knocks on two out of three missed the last one on purpose the Thunder throw a heave at the buzzer but it’s not enough and Dallas goes ahead and moves on want to start this video off by congratulating them uh they played a hell of a series they shot better than the Thunder their rebounding was great their role player stepped up uh the defense is for real I was saying that ever since they made those acquisitions I like this Mavericks team a lot I’m excited to see what they do in the Conference Finals and I am going to be making a video previewing that Conference Finals when we get there of course we still have game seven of Denver versus Minnesota before we know who they’re going to play but yeah I’ll be talking about the Mavericks a good bit the rest of the way because they are moving on to the next round for tonight though I just want to kind of go ahead and give my thoughts as a whole on this thunder season of course Die Hard Thunder fan here are really proud of how this team competed the entire season they weren’t supposed to be here at this point I remember coming into the year there are a lot of people who were happy with me when I predicted the Thunder were going to be a six0 coming to the season saying that I was biased that I was too high on them turns out I was too low on them because they went out there and grabbed the onc the youngest team to ever do so they also became the youngest team to ever win a playoff series youngest team to ever win a game in the second round nearly became the youngest team to make a Conference Finals but Dallas did prove too much to overcome and there are a lot of massive positives to take away from this season mainly sh just Alexander continues to rise as a superstar in this league I believe he’s a top five player on the sport I don’t want to get into that too heavily cuz I’m not big into player rankings that’s just how I feel at the moment but he went here and had another amazing game one of the best playoff performances I’ve ever seen from somebody on the Thunder 36 points three rebounds eight assists two blocks he shot 14 of 25 from the floor that’s 56% four five from three and that’s the big thing Shay has never been a great three-point shooter he did have one season where he was shot really well but he’s never been a great shooter on volume and in this game they needed him to knock down three he had that huge one against PG Washington the step back late is Shay doesn’t do some of the most heroic stuff I’ve ever seen the Thunder don’t even come close in this game but Shay was the best player in this series he was exceptional every single metric every single moment of the playoffs he was the Thunder’s best player L Us in points rebounds assists steals blocks and field goals made over the course of this entire playoff run he was the superstar that the Thunder needed and then some he answered all the questions that people had about if he can be the number one guy on a high level team if he’s going to elevate or fall in the playoffs I think it’s pretty clear that Shay is a playoff Riser he has easily been one of the best players in the playoffs up until this point and I guess he was because the Thunder now eliminated but Shay is a special player on both sides of the ball actually finishes this playoff run by with the most blocks ever by a point guard in a playoff run which is completely absurd he blocks shots he gets in the passing Lanes he is one of the best mid-range scorers in the league he’s great at getting to the Bas get even shot well from three in this one you can’t ask for anything more from Shay I’m sure some people are going to be mad at him about the foul at the there but he did hit the ball first it’s just unfortunate his arm ended up swiping down and there was that incidental contact afterwards uh the way that the ruling works is if the ball had moved in PJ’s hands that actually would have been a perfectly clean block but it didn’t and ultimately that is why he got the foul after the game he was asked about it and said basically I shouldn’t have out him taking accountability saying that that was my mistake he’s a great leader he’s one of the best players in the world top five already great on both sides of the ball and I think he proved a lot of people wrong anybody who thought that Shay couldn’t survive in the playoffs because oh it’s going to be a tougher whistle it’s going to be more physical he only had four free throws and ends up putting up 36 points on hyper efficient play he did that this entire playoff run just incredible stuff he has shown why the doubters are wrong also of course finished second in MVP voting I don’t know how I overlook that he’s going to get all MBA first team for the second year in a row Shay is going to continuously be an MVP candidate and I’m extremely happy that he is the franchise player for my favorite team going forward Beyond him the rise of Chad holr and Jaylen Williams as other two members of The Big Three both other and downs throughout the series JB in particular was not the greatest series in the world for him but it’s the first one that he’s had as a second option he’s only a sophomore player at that but here in game six he did a lot 22 points nine rebounds eight assists two Stills and a block not a single turnover 50% shooting three of five from Deep dub did basically everything you could ask for and I think of course this is only the beginning for him what he’s going to continue to do going forward this is an experience that he and the Thunder as a whole are going to learn from because you did see the inexperience pop up a lot for the Thunder throughout the series speciic specifically with the three-point shooting they were the best three-point shooting team in the league this season ended up only shooting about 33.5% from downtown in this series and a lot of that credit does go to the Mavericks defense it’s not just the inexperience that caused the Thunder to miss a lot of Threes but they had a lot of looks that were categorized as open or wide open that they usually hit and they just weren’t hitting them consistently in the series whether it was case Wallace missing a bunch of shots Aaron Wiggins uh JB didn’t shoot his typical high percentage from three in this series CAD holgren his three ball really dropped off and I think a lot of that was just the exhaustion from playing 82 games and now here 10 games in the playoffs playing heavy minutes consistently being asked to do a lot in terms of rebounding and paint protection because not a lot of size on the Thunder which is something I anticipate they’ll address going to the offseason we’ll talk a little bit about my vision for the offseason when we get to the end of the video but all around Chad and J really stepped up over the course of this season Chad of course had one of the best rookie Seasons I’ve ever seen from a player it’s just unfortunate that vikor wanyama had maybe the best rookie season that anybody has ever had at least one of them in terms of the statistical output Chad though in this game six 21 points three rebounds one assist two steel 9 of 15 from the floor he was catching lobs he was finishing through contact around the rim and he ended up having one of the best rookie defensive Seasons I’ve ever seen he deserves to be on all defensive team I don’t think he’s going to get that nod but chat’s already one of the best run protectors on in the sport he’s going to continue to do that over the course of his career give him more time to bulk up and get more more used to the NBA physicality so that he’s not as exhausted by the end of the season I think it’s only a matter of time before Chad hren is making himself known as a top three for Center in the league he already may be nearing that conversation by next season real quick I want to go ahead and thank the sponsor of this video autograph autograph is an app where real fans get unreal rewards basically you go ahead and earn some of these points towards rewards now let’s go ahead and get back to the video I also want to give a shout out to the role players of course wasn’t the best series for a lot of guys in this one but everybody contributed in some way to get the Thunder to this point ludor fantastic defense All Season didn’t shoot great at all really in the playoffs but the defense is there and on the season as a whole 40% from three he was exceptional I’m really excited about Lou going forward and that continued offensive growth you saw Isaiah Joe step into the staring lineup tonight knock down three or four threes 11 points he was great uh the Thunder going to have to pay him this off season which I anticipate they’ll do because he is a really high level shooter and role player for this team Jay will did some really good stuff this season as a backup big Aaron Wiggins was phenomenal All Season not his best series but he’s a guy that’s also going to get a good bit of money from the Thunder this off season I would imagine in kri Williams did a lot shout out to him K Wallace ridiculous stuff as a rookie incredible defensively you know he got that huge stop against CJ McCollum at the end of the first game in the Pelican series he had some crazy plays on Kyrie Irving and a number of other guys in this series as well I think over the course of the playoffs at least coming into tonight of course the numbers going to have shifted he was holding opposing players to 29% from the floor he’s a future all defensive player he was knocked down from three for All Season not great in this game one of six but as a whole couldn’t asked for more from case wall as a rookie then there’s Josh kidy who I had high hopes for coming into the season and it was a roller coaster year for him he was really rough to begin the Year by the end of the season kind of found his Groove was pretty solid in the Pelin series and then against the Mavericks was just unplayable got moved out of the starting lineup just 10 minutes in this game he did grab some offensive rebounds at three offensive boards but not great defensively whatsoever and just being a non-factor on the perimeter is a big blow to the Thunder team that really relies on spacing that’s their identity let Shay attack downhill and spacer around him just was not providing that in this series could not hit a three and I think that means that his future is a bit up in the air for the Thunder if he comes back I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s traded also wouldn’t be surprised either kind of give it like a 50/50 it’ll just come down to whether or not the Thunder want to pay him because he is extension eligible going to this off season I would imagine even if the Thunder do keep him they just hold out for the moment and see how he looks this upcoming year going to restrict it for agency but I do think eventually giddy will be off this team just because I’m not sure if the fit really works there he’s got to become a better shooter and a better Defender if he does then he can still be a pretty good fit for this Thunder roster I’m just not quite sure if that’s the player he’s going to become quickly enough while the Thunder are already on the cusp of Championship contention but we’ll see I do want to give him credit for the moments he had throughout this season because in the second half of the year he was great but here in the playoffs specifically against the Mavericks was just not his series then there’s Mark Day note who of course won coach of the year I thought he was fantastic All Season there are some things that people are going to be unhappy with them whether it was the experimentation throughout the regular season at times here in the playoffs keeping a bit of a longer rotation taking a little bit of time to move giddy out of the starring lineup which a lot of people didn’t like I’ve seen a lot of people mad about that challenge he made at the end of the game that prevented the Thunder from having a timeout after PJ Washington purposfully missed the last free throw but you’ve got a split second to go ahead and make that decision and in real time it really didn’t look like Shay hit him on the arm it looked like it was a good no call it should have been a block you’ve got a split second I like the idea of him challenging that because if you get that call returned you get the ball it’s tied at the very worst you go ahead and head to Overtime or rather not even tied I think the Thunder were winning at that moment so I don’t hate the call at all I think it was perfectly fine I thought Mark did a great job this season and this is also experience for him going into now his second season as the coach of this high level team he’s got some playoff experience under his belt I think he and the Thunder are going to learn and develop a lot and that’s honestly the theme of the season is growth they are way ahead of schedule like I said the youngest team to do basically everything at this point nobody really expected them to be here to have a real shot and making the Conference Finals and I think next season they’re only going to be better they’re going to make some moves in the off season to improve this team the experience will really help these guys you know JB’s going to get better as that second option Chad holan’s only going to get better because I can’t believe this was only his rookie season and he was already this good Shay’s got more years now under his belt as this number one option he’s got playoff experience in that role the Thunder are going to be more ready than ever going to next season and this is truly only the beginning for the Thunder they are armed with still a ridiculous amount of draft capital a bunch of cap space going to the offseason the 12th overall pick in this draft they can make some moves which brings the question what are they going to do I would not be surprised if they added more in terms of size on this squad obviously that was the big issue that affected the Thunder a lot the season they got outrebounded in this game against the Mavericks although I don’t think that was the main reason why the thunder loss I think the disappointing three-point shooting was the big factor that caused the Thunder to fall short but the rebounding is something you do want to fix there’s a lot of size in the Western Conference so I imagine they’ll try and find somebody to help out with the boards whether that’s through trade it’s through the draft it’s through free agency there are a lot oft option I don’t think the thunder make this massive swing for a superstar or Star level player maybe they do and I’m wrong but I imagine the Thunder still try to take this a little bit slow you’ve got your big three and Shay dub and cck going forward just find the right complimentary pieces around them and I think next season there’s a real shot to thunder go there and win the Western Conference the last thing I want to touch on is I know there are a lot of people who are mad the Thunder didn’t go more all in I guess at the trade deadline and make a big splash to be honest I just don’t think there were that many guys available I mean we saw it was a pretty weak deadline overall maybe they could have went for like a backup big but there was nobody out there that really fit the Thunder’s scheme which they like to have five out they like to give that spacing to Shan and the other guys to attack so when people are saying like get Andre Drummond he never would have played here in the playoffs he would have been played off the court he doesn’t fit this scheme at all maybe they change things up in the offseason but for the moment the way the Thunder were playing that never really made sense I like Hayward a lot as an acquisition if he played the way he did All Season the problem is it came in here and was just a bit too passive didn’t look like his usual self and it didn’t work out but I thought it was a great swing if Hayward was playing like the typical Hayward we’ve known in Charlotte over the past couple of years then he would have been a perfect fit in this starting lineup when we eventually shifted giddy out of it so it’s a swing and a miss it’s unfortunate but now you know exactly what the team needs going into the offseason with all your assets at your disposal I think it was perfectly fine and maybe they make a Big Splash in the off season where it’s way easier to kind of get pieces acclimated now you know what you need you’ve stress tested the system you’ve seen what the flaws are you can go ahead and make the right decisions here rather than rushing some midseason because you’re worried about meeting some Championship window but in reality it’s just opening with this team because it wasn’t even supposed to be open in the first place they’re just ahead of schedule at the moment but yeah with all that being said I think those are my main thoughts on this season this was a little bit disorganized or at least it fell like in my head as I record this because I want to just give you my full unfiltered thoughts at the moment I don’t have bullet points up like I usually refer to throughout my videos so just you know maybe I miss something but if I did I’m sure I’ll make more Thunder videos going to the offseason might make make a full like ideal offse type of video at some point but for the moment just extremely proud of this Thunder team they weren’t supposed to be here they weren’t supposed to be this good they weren’t supposed to be the one SE in the Western Conference a stacked Western Conference at that but they were because they forced their way there they proved everybody wrong and I think they’re going to continue to do that in the future already seen some people say that they’ll never get back to this point which I think is absurd it’s not a lot of people it’s just a few people on my timeline but trust me this is only the beginning for the Thunder they’re going to be a force for years to come for the moment though let me know what you thought about this thunder season what you think about the series what are you anticipating going forward what would you do in the offseason all that stuff appreciate you watching leave a like And subscribe if you enjoyed hit the notification Bell so you don’t miss out future videos I’ll see youall later also congratulations to the Mavericks once again because they really did earn the series they were the better team overall and yeah that Western Conference Finals preview video will be coming sooner than later just got to see who actually wins game seven of wolves nuggets but once again for the moment I appreciate you watching I’ll see y’all later r one St back

The Oklahoma City Thunder were just eliminated by the Dallas Mavericks in game six of their second round NBA Playoff series. Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Dereck Lively, PJ Washington, and others were too much for OKC to overcome in what was an insane down to the wire game six. Despite the exit, the Thunder have a lot to be proud of this season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander proved he’s a superstar and MVP level player on the Playoff stage, Jalen Williams showed what he’s capable of as a two option and future All-Star, Chet Holmgren had a phenomenal rookie season, and others like Lu Dort, Cason Wallace, Aaron Wiggins, and Josh Giddey had promising moments with Mark Daigneault winning coach of the year along the way. It was a season nobody expected the Thunder to have and one they should be proud of. Now, the work starts with strengthening the group going forward to continue to compete in the Western Conference alongside great teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, and more. So, let’s talk about it.

Mavs vs OKC will be a playoff match up series that we can look forward to watching in the west moving forward.
To all of you hating on Cone and OKC get a life and if this your life get a better life
Bro thought he had the mvp lmao nahhhh silly cone boi
Music to my ears. I'm a okc hater
Honestly the whistle was on sgas side all series dude was launching into defenders and getting away with it. That being said they are young and will only get better. Luka on one leg was incredible albeit not efficient. Good series imo
Cone, your team put up a heck of a fight the series, Game 6 could have gone either way. Sorry if anyone from the Mavs fan base heckled you 🙁 Better days ahead, your guys time will come!
I agree with everything but shai had a terrible defensive series. Didn't live up to what I've been hearing about his defense
Okc fans shouldn’t be mad they are a young team only going to get better and better also remember they have a lot of picks that they can use for a superstar but yeah it does suck for them to lose after that foul how it went but okc has a lot of picks 😂don’t forget !!
Your prediction wasn't as behind as mine for OKC. I had them for 54 wins tied for 2nd place in the west. lol
I agree, the shai Oklahoma City thunders guard is just as good a the guard Luka Dončić.
Ggs thunder fans, but only the thunder fans like Cone
Dallas fan here. SGA is a PROBLEM. Gave me flashbacks of Kawhi Leonard with that automatic middy. OKC are on such an exciting pathway in sure the Mavs will meet them again in the playoffs in the future.
Dallas beats okc, exposes them as the fraudulent team they are, and you make the video all about okc, this is the beginning and the end for okc, they are never going far in the playoffs, they only managed to be a zionless pelicans team that nobody even had doing anything in the first place, you okc lames are frauds and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but frauds, Luka and the mavs own shai and okc!
Hahahahahahahahahahahah. Enjoy Aruba, FourCones 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 HOOKEM too
They are capable of winning multiple rings that’s should be their goal
Hard to be mean to OK residents. This is their only team 😂🗑️
Have fun in Cancun, bark bark bark 😎
HAHA 😂
My goal before this season was to make the league respect us. I say we accomplish that 😤
THUNDER UP 🌩️🌩️
Definitely not putting the blame on any one person, but I wish Jdub didn’t wait until the 4th quarter for a lot of these games to try and start contributing
see see thats what u get when u start the game (playoffs) in easy difficulty then suddenly it becomes expert mode… but OKC fought well.. no shame there ✌
Came so close. Unfortunately the mid season Heyward trade didn't pay off at all whereas Mavs got a massive boost from the PJ Washington and Gafford acquisitions which was definitely a different maker
Takes alot of class to give credit to an opponent that beat your team. Good on ya Cone
