Mike Conley is old but that’s it.

    Ant/Mcdaniels/kat/gobert/naz

I mean Jesus those guys are all gonna be playing like this or even better for the next 2 years at least. Really it’s only gobert u have to worry about declining.

    It’s scary to think about

If Boston can pay Derrick white/jrue holiday/Jayson tatum/jaylen brown/kristaps porzingis

Then minnesota needs to pay up they have no excuses

It’s funny how Glen Taylor wanted to sell the team. But now since we’re a little bit better and the money is rolling in. He’s like “Wait a minute” lol

Even though he’s a snake, at least he didn’t move the team. Fuck Norm Green

Minny Ownership : OUR BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY

I’m confused on why this is being said.

*Glen Taylor clears his throat, approaches the podium, shuffles his papers*

“Yes… I signed the contract… But did the contract have a ‘no-take-backsies’ clause? Not as far as I know… And let me tell you, that’s not very far…”

It’s too hard to build a team that can actually be a contender in this market. You have to eat the tax when you can in my opinion.

They should keep the team together through next season and maybe make a small move here and there to get below the second apron before the 25-26 season so their picks in the 2032 and beyond don’t get locked at the end of the first round. But keep their core obviously.

One thing you can always count on with ESPN, if there is a scenario where a small market team blows it up, they will talk about it.

  9. Cba pretty much means u pick your guys and then retool every 3-4 yrs to flesh it out. It’s great because if you’re not dumb as shit everyone should have their windows to contend and most teams won’t be in constant purgatory. This doesn’t include Detroit

  10. chillinwithmoes

Well we’ve got dysfunctional ownership in spades, so that’s great

  11. karl_hungas

This is untrue. Ant is getting a 3x pay raise next season when his extension kicks in. McDaniels is getting a 7x pay raise. They are well over the cap at around 175mil without paying Conley. They also have some rotation players set to be free agents.

However Ant is getting better and will get better for his entire extension. Even with losing some role players if he becomes a top 5 player in the league they will still be very competitive.

  12. Come on, we just had the biggest win in franchise history. Can we not have this conversation right now?

Really can’t let them enjoy it for 24 hours huh?

It’s clear what glen taylor is doing. But it’s also clear ARod couldn’t afford to buy the team to begin with. He and Lore should just be happy they were able to invest at such a low number into a franchise that is already skyrocketing in value.

Dysfunctional ownership is not hard to find in this league.

Don’t believe the Glen Taylor media push. He has sellers remorse and is trying to muck up his bizarre ownership transfer process (that he set up) to either A). get more money knowing he’ll lose his case in arbitration and/or B). remain around the team long enough to be able to celebrate and claim credit for a championship run. He owns the major Twin Cities newspaper and hit the local media hard selling the narrative that Lore and Arod don’t have enough money and would cut payroll.

Arod and Lore went to Glen to ask if they should pursue Tim Connelly and Glen said, “GMs that good don’t come to places like Minnesota.”

There’s a reason the fortunes of the team improved drastically in the last 24 months that Lore and Arod started getting involved with operations. Get this ghoul Glen Taylor out of his courtside seats. Arod and Lore have to be thrilled they bought low on a team they’ll eventually own in majority.

And after game two, they were saying the Timberwolves were possibly the best defense of all time And it’s going to be a sweep.

Last year they said the nuggets were the next dynasty and Jokic was going to win five straight MVPs and the league was doomed because the nuggets were going to win every title

The prisoners of the moment to the worst degree.

This makes sense though because timberwolves ownership is a mess

  18. OneWildAndCrazyGuy17

We are officially at the, “Get ready for the next 10 years of wolves domination. 10 titles in a row on the way” stage of reaction. Ask fans of the Denver “only significant injury will ever keep this team from losing a series again” Nuggets how that goes.

Imagine Minnesota wins it all this year and then immediately gets into a massive legal fight and their roster gets broken up lmao. The court battle is gonna be the real finals this year. Never expected this season to surpass last season, but we have PEAK DRAMA.
