Bleacher Report PREDICTS Miami Heat Donovan Mitchell Trade! Heat Trade Rumors

[Music] is Donovan Mitchell inevitable because on today’s show we’re talking more about the spida and Miami Heat being linked because Bleacher Report actually predicted a Donovan Mitchell trade it came from their most recent NBA Mock Draft that featured a Mitchell to Miami trade and I wanted to talk about what the trade offer was if it would be enough if it makes sense for both sides and overall really kind of parlay that into what prospects could be dealt from the Miami Heat to Cleveland in any Donovan Mitchell trade I am Nick rolloff this is the heat report by chat sports and make sure you are subscribed to us here at the heat report because we’re going to cover everything surrounding the offseason for the Miami Heat and I want to get 1% better every single week the most Subs we got on one VOD or video as we call it last week was 41 let’s get 50 on today’s show let’s start the week off right you know that’s a T Setter so let’s do it hit that sub button all right here is the Donovan Mitchell trade that was or I guess suggested predicted whatever you want to call from Bleacher Report that he’d obviously get the spider coming to the 305 which we’ve talked about in depth quite a bit but here’s the Intriguing part to me the Cavaliers are receiving Tyler hero Hae hakz Jr the 15th pick in the 20124 NBA draft a 2030 first round pick and then a 2029 first round pick swap if you notice something there’s a particular name not in this trade that I have predicted he would be in this deal that would be Nia yic but before we talk about um what I think about this trade offer let’s hear what Bleacher Report had to say Zack Buckley said that you move Mitchell to South Beach and give Coach Eric spola a healthy Roster Miami would be right in the middle of next season’s Championship Chase which I do agree with with time it’s possible the Cavaliers put their roster in an even better position to contend Tyler herro could share the scoring load with Darius Garland Hae hawz JR could be the connector this Wing rotation has long been without and the draft assets could be used in future deals whenever this core signals it’s time to cash in those chips so I’ll say this I’m fascinated to see what Donovan Mitchell does I’m also fascinated by this little angle that Zack Buckley of Bleacher Report took they’re saying that the Cavaliers would be better positioned to win in let’s say three or four years than it is right now if they kept Donovan Mitchell but as I do always say this all does hinge on Donovan Mitchell and what he decides to do if he decides that he does not want to sign a long-term extension with Cleveland this summer then all signs point to the Cavaliers potentially moving on from him because they don’t want to lose him in free agency next year for absolutely nothing he’s too good of a player to let him walk and get nothing in return so is it really worth keeping Mitchell on a one-year deal technically and if he does return it sounds like Darius Garland is going to request a trade so Mitchell kind of decides the long-term future of the Cleveland Court Cavaliers organization he either stays and Darius Garland goes or he either leaves and then they run a core of Darius Garland whenever they get back in a Mitchell trade assuming they do that to pair up with Evan Mobley in the front Court fascinating situation that will be developing this summer but I do want to go back to this trade and before I give you my thoughts on it I want to know what you would do would you do this trade type A for except type D for decline is today’s pined comment so if a YouTube ad break hits scroll down let it play and answer it down below I’d Sprint to Adam Silver to get this done and I don’t know how fast I could run maybe I could clock in a little 12 13 M hour I don’t know how fast I can go maybe a little bit more than that but I would reach 20 to get this done because this would be an absolute steal for the Miami Heat I mean it really would yeah you give up two first round picks but you’d have to do that anyway you have to give up a swap in 29 which you probably hope doesn’t convey right you you hope that you’re a better team than the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2029 and you only have to give up Tyler hero and haime hakz Jr which hero is an absolute lock to be in a Mitchell trade but it’s haime hakz Jr and no Nia yic because I have repeatedly said on this show that any Donovan Mitchell trade would have to feature both hakz and yovic that’s at least how I feel feel and I do find it incredibly unlikely that Cleveland would accept an offer from Miami that doesn’t feature both yic and haakas and why should they you looked and we have looked at other teams that could be interested in Mitchell they have four five first round picks they can offer to Cleveland Miami can only offer two and that includes a player at 15 in a class that many consider not that strong so to me you would have to include these two guys and these two guys are spectacular man yic can do a lot of nice things with his size he’s 610 he’s 611 he’s still growing in the NBA he can already shoot the ball at a high level and catch and shoot situations from Beyond The Arc he can facilitate he can rebound I thought he rebounded much better than the numbers showed you just saw him on screen he only averag about four rebounds a contest but I thought he did a much better job than those numbers suggested and he was doing an excellent job boxing out and allowing other players to come clean up some of the mess and then obviously we’ve talked about Hae hawz junor in the past and how surprising he was that he was able to contribute the way he did in his first year but there is a lot of improvements to be made for Triple J as well he was efficient inside the three-point Arc but he struggled from three only shooting 32% from the field in today’s NBA that really is just not acceptable for someone that plays this the wing spot like that’s a center sure but a forward that play 66 65 that plays the two three small ball four you’re going to need more three-point shooting from hawkey and I do believe that he will be able to improve in that area and really make another stride if you will if he’s on the roster next year or maybe just in Cleveland overall more to talk about on this topic but we do have to show some love to the best uh daily fantasy app in the game and that is prize picks get started with prize picks today by downloading the app and using code clns to get a first deposit match up to $100 it’s so easy to play that any one can do it even producer Cullen can play prize picks that’s how simple it is just pick more or less on two or more player stat projections and you can watch the winnings roll in that currently you can win up to 100 times your money yeah you heard that correctly 10 into a th000 with as little as four correct entries if you go demon mode on all four the playoffs are still going on they’re winding down but we are in the Conference Finals as they are set to tip off on Tuesday and I am looking at Tuesday’s matchup between the Celtics and the Pacers I’ll go less than on Payton Pritchard 9 and a half points they got the Pritchard clone just a little bit better in TJ McConnell in Indiana I’ll take them more than on Aaron nemith 16 and a half points rebounds assist remember he was drafted by Boston I expect him to come out with a Vengeance after being dealt for Brogden a couple seasons ago and I also take the more than an Andrew nart half a three-pointer made this is a three-player entry to only win four times my money because I did go with a little Goblin mode which lowered the winnings I could have but it also lowers the risk and you can do that you could increase your risk but increase your payout out that’s the best part about prize picks they make it versatile they make it C and it’s customized really to how you want to play it so once again download the app and use code clns to get a first deposit match up to $100 or I made it simple for you you can just click the link in the description and comments of today’s video that is prize.com CNS and then input that code clns to get a first deposit match up to $100 once again shout out prize pick for sponsoring today’s video all right I do want to get back to talking about yich and guys because those two are fantastic players they are I mean I talked about how much I’ve loved yic and I might be the biggest yic truther on the planet because his size is 610 611 his three-point shooting his IQ his ability to lead a transition break and honestly I’d like to see the heat get the ball in his hands more as a initiator and a Creator on offense if he remains on this roster hakz was fantastic too and I believe if he improves his three-point shooting to 37 38% he can be a 15o per game score next season in but I’ll pack their bags right now if that means getting Donovan Mitchell because this guy is just a different breed folks he is one of the most dynamic scorers in the entire Association putting up 26 points per game he can score at all three levels he can score at The Rim he can get to the mid-range Hit That Elbow jumper coming off screens dominating drop coverage but also give you a little step back and cuz he is so quick man and his first step just puts Defenders on their heels which means they are just so worried about getting blown own by that the jumper is there for him and his three-point shooting has gotten a little bit better in the regular season which has been something that I have kept my eye out for because he’s needed to do that and he has just been utterly fantastic in the postseason and we are going to update this graphic including his most recent playoff run after this video so just stay up toed for that because we’ll show this again for sure but he was absolutely dominant against the cat or against the magic excuse me and the Boston Celtics but done it for his entire career averaging 24 points per game in his rookie season right and then he averaged 36 against the nuggets in the bubble and then came back and made a solid run averaging 32 like this guy is a Bonafide scorer in the postseason and that is everything that Miami needs because they have been one step behind opponents in the playoffs in term of their ability to score with them like H how many times have we came on here in just the past year and Eastern Conference Finals in the NBA finals this postseason this regular season and I had to come up here and talk about how the heat struggled to score in the second half and struggled to score in the fourth quarter too many times is the answer because I can’t even count them on my fingers it’s been more than 10 I know that for sure Mitchell would help solve a lot of those issues because he can give you scoring from the perimeter scoring the mid-range scoring at The Rim put pressure on opposing defenses that’s the guy they have to game plan for which would only free up bam and Jimmy because bam and Jimmy has always been the two guys that the opposing defense key in on but now if you have to key in on Donovan Mitchell it just allows those two to go get more easy looks and in oneon-one coverage the Miami Heat would be a very versatile and tough team to defend but he would also still have the grittiness and toughness because that’s the type of player Donovan Mitchell is so let me ask you this and I want you to be honest for me would you trade both Nia yovic and Triple J haime hakz Jr for Donovan Mitchell if you would and you’re like me type y for yes if you want to keep the two young guys or at least just keep one of them type n for no I’ll say this and before I actually analyze what I said here in the bottom of the screen if you do want Donovan Mitchell you do have to trade both of them in all likelihood so just want to keep that out there but one thing is clear for me the Miami Heat cannot keep a ter Roser hero backourt for another season and I know this might be quick to say and it’s a little bit harsh because they didn’t really get to play together that often this past year but I just don’t feel like and maybe you guys disagree and you guys can let me know but I don’t see a way that you can bring back this roster for a six season and I get Rosier was only here for 35 36 games last season but your main three guys being hero Jimmy and Bam it’s been five years yes they’ve got to the finals twice but there’s been so many injuries hero wasn’t even a part of one of the finals runs like to me if you were to bring back those three guys I just think you’re not being serious about this upcoming season I that that is how I truly feel so if you want to go make a move to get this roster fresh get the locker room in a better Vibes because the Vibes is were not the same last year they weren’t the power of friendship might be dead folks and that is not good for the heat so to me I think you got to move off hero I do and if you were to tell me that Rosier is on this roster next year I’d be okay with that like I’m not going to be mad if Terry’s on this routine because he was good for a solid stretch of the end of last year I just don’t think Tyler hero can be that guy and you might have to move off of him for a first round pick or if you could trade him for better like fits on this roster like a more defensive three-point guy like a Duncan Robinson type but plays defense because you need it alongside Roser in the back court as much as I hate to say it you might have to move off hero just to get a better fit on this roster get more athletic get more big get more defensive with which is crazy to say cuz the heat are still a good defensive team but we’ve seen them struggle defending at times in one-on-one situations against the Jason tatums the Jaylen Browns of the world all right that’s going to do it for today’s video make sure you are following me on Twitter at Nick rolloff continue the conversation surrounding the Miami Heat over there we’re going to bring videos every single day but if you want content in between then my Twitter is the best spot for that so give me a follow at Nick Donovan Mitchell trade rumors will only heat up or go away depending on Mitchell’s contract situation. Mitchell is eligible for a supermax extension with the Cavaliers worth up to $208 MM. If Donovan Mitchell doesn’t sign a long-term extension with the Cavs, Cleveland will likely deal Mitchell. Interest is expected to come from the Lakers, Heat, Nets, and Rockets.

Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley on a Donovan Mitchell Heat trade:
“Move Mitchell to South Beach and give coach Erik Spoelstra a healthy roster, and Miami would be right in the middle of next season’s championship chase. With time, it’s possible the Cavaliers put their roster in an even better position to contend. Tyler Herro could share the scoring load with Darius Garland, Jaime Jaquez Jr. could be the connector this wing rotation has long been without and the draft assets could be used in future deals whenever this core signals it’s time to cash in those chips.”

  1. Would you trade both Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez Jr. for Donovan Mitchell? Type 'Y' for Yes or 'N' for No

  2. You don't offer your best deal. This will be the best deal out there for them. The only issue to me is whether or not extending Mitchell without giving butler one will go. To me butler will have to be traded also

  3. If there is a 6’5+ PG in the draft, maybe we need to pick that and develop him the Heat way! Also need to draft a big man.

  4. I mean……would it not be WAY cheaper though to go after Klay Thompson? He ain't Mitchell, but I think that may give the Heat what they need without breaking the bank and selling all their best young assets like Nikola. Also, F that trade if we also giving up Jaime why we giving them all those damn pieces? I only do that if I keep Jaime.

Frankly, I would rather trade Jimmy for a bunch of young pieces and start over on Bam's timeline than do that. Replace Jaime with Duncan we talking.

  5. Get it done and then call Utah and offer Duncan and Caleb for sexton and Lauri Markkanen.

    Rozier / sexton
    Mitchell
    Jimmy
    Bam
    Lauri

    🔥

  6. Heat receives: Donovan and Jarret: Cavs Receive: Hero, Jovic, Jaime, Rozier, 2 first and 3 Swaps

  7. Trade Jaime, Jovic, Herro 2-3 1sts for Donovan Mitchell GO ALL IN!!!! Heat fits Bams timeline and Jimmy's win now window for the next couple years but him and Bam would be the futures for years to come make our best and get it done

  8. Seems like recently, every time we've gone whale hunting, we've landed nothing but minnows…Let's go Heat. Make it happen

  9. I will accept this deal it’s though
to let Jaime go but I want a backup center in return like a even Mobley or Allan and at least a pick that we get in return .

  10. I have such mixed feelings. I want Donovan Mitchell but I like Jacquez as the future Jimmy butler for this team. I kind of want to run it back but trading Herro for more role players

  11. You all need to realize the next 10 years minimum are going to be owned by Wembanyama. If you want to compete with the current trend of freakish athletic 7 footers like KAT Holmgren or Wemby the Heat need to sober up, forget signing undersized whales and extending aging vets on the decline. Sober up Miami
