    Just hire JJ if that’s what they want and get the circus over with. I just can’t wait for Pelinka to come out of hiding at the beginning of the season and speak confidently and arrogantly then if it fails, he’ll go into hiding again. We didn’t forget that he dodged exit interviews.

    It’s crazy how someone without coaching experience gets mentioned every single time for a contending team’s HC job. Says a lot about the FO.

    Like I’m used to leverage & name tossing, but I legit don’t know anymore if it’s actually happening.

    I can’t believe JJ has, at this point, a good shot to be the next coach. I figured after the Hornets moved on he would just stick to the media for a while & this was just a name buzz situation, but I kinda feel like his name would’ve been dropped out sooner if any party was getting cold feet.

    At the end of the day, I feel like there is a more mutual understanding of what is needed for a successful JJ head coach tenure. From the Lakers’ side it needs to be finally above the playin & a deep run that can lead to a championship sooner rather than later. JJ has some pressure of his own, he is viewed as a dedicated basketball mind, & if he can’t show improvement from this team compared to Ham, then his credibility will take a hit & it’ll take some time for him to get another opportunity.

    Also I feel like there should be a mutual understanding that if JJ is hired he shouldn’t get some excessive contract (in money &/or years) not in the cheap sense, more in the let’s not be overzealous sense
