Would have rather seen it 0-16 again. Keep doubting.
Side discussion – since Nembhard couldn’t really guard Brunson, I’ve got little confidence he can effectively guard anyone playing in the Celtics backcourt. What does everyone think Rick will do to try to bolster the defense in this series and try to mitigate the offensive onslaught we’re sure to face from the wings? I don’t think they have anyone who can really shut down Siakam so we’ve got our own mismatches in our favor, thankfully.

Wow I’m shocked I wonder what is the rationale behind the two people picking the pacers as opposed to the Knicks series where we didn’t even get one pick.
Did we look that bad versus the bucks and did the Knicks look that great versus the sixers. Too be honest given the circumstances I thought both teams likely underperformed in the first round.
Or did the pacers just win a few fans by beating the Knicks?
I like the pacers in 7.
yaboiinick
Respect to those two

Did ESPN tell their staff to have a morsel of parity?

Wow, two actually picked the Pacers
uemusicman
Kinda funny, because I honestly would’ve given them a better chance of beating the Knicks than the Celtics

Bobby marks seems like a guy I’d grab a beer with

I’m shocked it isn’t 0/16. There is really no rational reason to choose pacers. Celtics have a much better defense, a better offense, way more experience. The best player on the court.
What is the pacers advantage here?
No hate, but pacers are underdogs. If we’re being rational, I would expect every analyst to pick the Celtics. It doesn’t mean the pacers can’t win and pull an upset, but if you had to give your honest opinion you’re probably saying Celtics in 4-6
jayssss
Not a single Celtics sweep prediction either
Joe_Betz_
Bobby Marks from the top rope!

Bragging rights for those guys if we win I respect the hustle

Pacers in 6 is a bold take, but I’m here for it.

Anyone have the presale code you can share for Ticketmaster?

Pacers in 5, Miles Turner
brodieandthebeard135
5 different predictions by espn for he Larry bird ward. That’s got to be the record
TheGavPav
Even the picks for the Celtics have the series going 5-7 games, I feel we’ve at least gained some respect now
Lasvious
That is considerably more respect

Damn kinda mad. Wish everyone would keep that same energy from all year

I love being the underdog!

To be fair, this time it makes more sense. Like yes, the cletics are heavy heavy favourites.
Last series was a joke, it was the biggest coin flip series you can have.

Bobby Marks (whoever that is) has my exact pick. Pacers in 6. Siakam MVP
taxfreetendies
More of them had Knicks in 5 than this. Maybe they watched a Pacers game between now and then.
ebuennag09
The 2 who picked us just didn’t want to be wrong.
thiccthighzsave
I think we’re going to need more than votes this time guys but we know they won’t stop fighting.
GERBILSAURUSREX
I’m honestly surprised how many are saying six or seven. I know we CAN beat them, but it’s obvious they should be heavy favorites.
7MinuteClinic
Who are these people even?
Corporate-Punk
I don’t think it will be a Boston sweep. I’m thinking Boston in 6, but you never know crazier things have happened. Go Pacers!!
TundRaaaaaaa
People are choosing us to beat the Celtics, but didn’t expect us to beat the Knicks…huh?
Drak_is_Right
2/16 is about our odds of an upset
Maybe a bit higher.
Servbot24
I’m shocked anyone picked the Pacers tbh.
Apprehensive_Pie8897
Cracks me up that apparently by this logic everyone at espn thinks the Knicks were more of a threat to us than the 1 seed which is insane. I’ll take any recognition we can get though
MutantNinjaAnole
Legler has some good thoughts on both Russillo’s and the All NBA podcast today. On the All NBA he actually made a good point that I hardly saw anyone saying: The Pacers had been imposing their style of play all series on the Knicks and they were very lucky to go up 2-0 (without going into the reffing in game 1). It’s clear he’s been watching them all season.
for the record I think a Celtics team that plays to its full potential should expect to win, but that isn’t how it always goes. Important to get one of the first two I believe for the Pacers to make this a longer series.
