JJ returns now for a little game of stay or go so JJ let’s start with OG he almost definitely will be our unrestricted free agent should he stay or go this is no brainer to me Aon OG anobi has got to be a major part of the New York Nicks plans just look at what the team’s record was since they made that deal with the Toronto Raptors you talk about three-point defense you talk about defensive versatility and you throw in the fact that anobi can hit the outside shot let let’s be real this series against the Indiana Pacers turned on a dime the minute OG anobi came up lame hurt his hamstring I applaud him for trying to play in game seven and I know the concern misses a lot of time durability concerns I can’t ignore though what he brings to the team they are a much better team when he’s on the floor I want him a part of the fabric for the Knicks durability definitely a risk but I agree with you it’s worth taking all right from a big question to a Big’s question Isaiah hartenstein really emerged this year JJ and it won’t be cheap to keep him is he gone or is he staying so if I’m running a Knicks I’m doing everything in my power to keep hardenstein who clearly has a rapport and a chemistry with Jaylen Brunson he’s got that bunny hook that he loves to hit he was masterful in the series against Philadelphia and I just love his game a lot more than Mitchell Robinson if I ran the Knicks I’d be looking to trade Mitchell Robinson we talk about durability concerns with ojan anobi Mitchell Robinson never plays number one and his offense game leaves a lot to be desired I would keep hartstein now the problem is Aon if they can’t find a taker for Mitchell Robinson they’re not going to be able to afford Mr hartstein yeah I think either way you’re going to pay hartenstein and you’re going to regret it because you’re going to overpay him he’s going to get paid all right another guy who could be on the move is Julius Randall kind of a polarizing figure still among Nick fans he’s do 30.3 million next year that’s just trky money then has a$ 32.4 million player option for 2025 26 you think he should be the move I think it depends on what you’re getting in return I am not trading Julius Randall for the sake of trading Julius Randall it’s a two-time Allstar with the Knicks this guy has been an all NBA player but I think you have to acknowledge if you’re a Nick fan there might be a limited ceiling to what this team can achieve if they just go and run it back so to me I’m kind of taking a look and a feel for what the market may be if I’m Leon Rose and maybe there’s somebody who becomes available that fits the team a little little bit better than Julius Randall give you name it’s going to take a lot and it’s going to take some creativity but if we’re talking three team trade I know our friends in Brooklyn won’t like it there’s another Villanova guy who would fit in really nicely with the Knicks I would sacrifice Julius Randall for example if I could get my hands on Mr Bridges oh that would be worth it but it’s got to be tough for Leon Rose to really evaluate his franchise when he hasn’t had a healthy Randall in the second round of the last of the playoffs the last two years all right then there’s the coach Tom Tibido entering the final year of his contract you don’t want a lame duck coach in the NBA and you did see another one of his teams fall apart in the playoffs tibs stay or go this is an easy one for me this might be the easiest one you gave me Tom tibo’s got to stay I mean what more does Tom Tibido have to do as New York Knicks head coach he’s built the team from the ground up every player on this team has gotten better under his guidance and under his tutelage you can’t ignore that from Josh har better player on the tips Divan shenzo he wasn’t doing this with the Golden State Warriors Jaylen Brunson Jaylen Brunson is playing the best basketball of his life with Tom Tibido as the head coach the team has taken on tip’s personality I get the minutes police can’t stand them but you know what tibs is New York City the team has taken on tibs and New York City’s personality Amon give me the extension I’m with you that’s a no-brainer who else do you want to coach the New York right now give him a long deal JJ thanks for joining us it’s now time for you to not stay and go

An athletic wing like OG who can play both defense and get you double digit points is a commodity that we need. Trade Randle and Hartenstein along with draft capital for a second all star and we’re good to go. Maybe draft SG who can come off the bench

Tom Thibodeau might have built this team from the ground up, but he lacks good coaching skills and he doesn’t use his time outs or his roster wisely. He gave up Obi Toppin when he should’ve given up Randle, and now Randle is on the trading block. Thibs doesn’t address the core issues the Knicks have had for many many years. Like consistency, balanced scoring, defense, sorely lacking against the pacers and rebounding on both ends. The Knicks don’t play solid basketball because of Thibs. Missed FTs and too many turnovers are issues that should’ve already been corrected. How do you go up 2-0 and lose the series. Ridiculous! I understand you get injuries, that’s part of the game you cannot control, but everything I mentioned earlier you can control. But the Knicks didn’t do that. They didn’t do anything right. When they lost G3 they lost the series. That’s a fact! That’s poor coaching! Of course, no one agrees with that. But that’s the honest truth. Thibs gotta go. The Knicks won’t get any better with Thibs. They will never get out of the 2nd round, because they lack the fundamentals. They don’t have what it takes to get to the next level. When you advance to the 3rd round, you’re a very good team, a team that could win it all. The Knicks aren’t there yet. And if they think adding a scorer to the roster is the answer, they’re sadly mistaken. They still won’t get out of the second round, because they lack the fundamentals I mentioned earlier. The Knicks didn’t want it bad enough, so the Pacers took it. The series should’ve been over in 5 games whether you win G3 or G4. Even if you’re injured, the guys who are playing must play well. Every game the Pacers won, they won big, except for G3, but they still won. A game the Knicks should’ve won. It falls on Thibs, he’s gotta go. The Knicks will never win a championship with Thibs!

Realistically in order for this team to win they have to build a deep roster.. if brunson get hurt its over… that's why keeping randle doesn't make sense it would free up space.. to get more role players not another star the more bodies this team has the better…keep robinson he may be injury prone and his market is down so he would be hard to move the problem is he shouldn't be starting he should also be playing less minutes.. coming off the bench. get a decent back up pg and more 3 and d wings..

Definitely stay. All of them! Look at Denver: they let their bench go (B. Brown and J. Green), never got their true groove back and their starters got gassed against the Wolves. Team chemistry is a tricky thing. Unless Brooklyn wants to let M. Bridges go, there's not a lot out there that's worth the risk

Knicks should draft Terrence Shannon Jr., Tyler Kolek or Cam Spencer If they are available at 24 selection.
OG negotiations might get spicy. The Knicks will want to pay him less because he got hurt. However, Thibs played him nearly every single minute for 5 straight games until he broke down. Hopefully the Knicks offer Hartenstein the max they can offer. Hopefully he takes it. Lots of teams will have interest in iHart and OG. Thibs isn't going anywhere. Can't fire a 50 win coach if the star player loves him. Randle is going nowhere. Nobody else in the league wants him.
There's ZERO reason to trade Randle. The team hasn't hit their ceiling fully healthy.
