Why Zach Edey Makes The Miami Heat The SCARIEST TEAM IN THE NBA
Miami Heat Nation what is going on it’s your boy Trent back with another video and today we are going to be talking about why I believe the Miami Heat should give Zach Edie a chance an opportunity to play for the Miami Heat and he possibly could change some things with this organization now I know previous videos I said I don’t want Zach gy I don’t think he’s NBA ready but my mind has officially changed and I’m officially willing to take you know him on the Miami Heat the Miami Heat have two picks 15 and the 43rd pick so I don’t want to take him at the 15th pick if we can get him at the 43th pick maybe a stretch but we’ll see when the draft comes now if you guys enjoy Miami he content this is the perfect channel for y’all so smash that subscribe button turn on post ifications drop a like and comment down I appreciate you guys so much I have the best supporters in the world and I love you guys anyways going back to the video as y’all see on the screen this is Zach Ed’s college stats through the four years he been there playing for Purdue so his firstman year only averaged about 8. seven points a game 1.1 block four um 4.4 defensive rebounds or 2.7 um defensive rebounds and 1.7 offensive rebounds shooting 71% from the free throw line only had 3.3 attempts so not too too much right there minutes played only averag about 15 minutes so wasn’t getting much opportunity the second year his sophomore year averaged about 14.4 points a game but his obviously his blocks did go up by 0.1 it still went up his assists went up his defensive rebounds went up to 4.5 to 2.7 his free throw percentage did go down but he did have more attempts and had more offensive rebounds so you like to see the Improvement and growth each season and obviously his minutes have went up his Soph well his junior year averaged about 22.3 points a game aaging about you know 7.4 defensive rebounds and 5.5 offensive rebounds everything has went up dramatically and also his minutes has went from 19 to 31 so the coach is clearly seeing improvements and that’s what you like to see now as a big man that he is known for 73 74 about 300 lb the fact that he’s shooting about 71% 73 is really really good because during the year that just passed by he had 11.2 free throws attempts which is definitely definitely incredible for that because you know there’s a thing known in the NBA hacka Shack they did it to Lively they did it to Gafford and this is the type of player that it would happen to so numbers went up 25 points a game 12 point um two rebounds 7.5 defensive rebounds and 4.6 offensive rebounds so he definitely had a big year definitely was one of the bigger names that came out of this you know March Madness now one of the things that I do want to throw out there is why I said he’s not ready for the NBA is that he’s slow he can’t really guard the pick and row and you I am not a NBA an like NBA things that Scouts are watch and stuff like that but I’m just seeing this on TV so if I can see this on TV I’m pretty sure the Scouts can see this on TV he can’t guard a pick and roll and that’s very very concerning because nowadays in the league you need to know how to guard a pick and roll because these guards will attack you and take you off the court literally like aluca an Edwards at jar they all attack you so that’s one of the biggest concerns that he needs to worri about now he needs to get faster his lad real quickness needs to be there he has really doesn’t have an offensive game outside of the postwork um which is concerning because nowadays in the league when you look at these bigs Joe and bid Nicole yis kenthy towns Rudy Gober struggles to this day he really does on the offensive game but you know if you can’t really do that you’re going to have to have a good system around you you’re going to have nice guards around you to set you up great example like drik Lively and Daniel Gafford which not great offensively you get what I’m trying to say and mind you I’m looking at my notes over here but a couple players that is around his height in pounds and stuff like that well I don’t think weight but ban taka fall has seemed to be in Moses Brown so those are the couple of players that aren’t really NBA successful so hopefully he’s not throwing in that discussion ever but there’s a case that he could possibly be now like I said I’m not a scout so we’re going to look at this article that a scout has said about um Zach Edy so we are going to start right here when it’s going to say his strengths so he says ahead of the 2023 NBA draft I broke down Ed strengths and weaknesses a lot of these words still hold true so let’s focus on his Improvement so he’s listed at 74 300 lb um he was heavier than he was listed last last season um but he does look lighter on his feet it says he also has an undroppable drop step and hook shot especially when he gets to the dominant right hand he rarely uses his left hand in the past but this season has gotten more comfortable scoring off with his off hand which is very important you need to know how to use both hands nowadays if you’re young you still need to use your both hands that’s important those are the fundamentals and the NBA you need to you definitely need to know so continu says Ed has shown more point with his back to the basket it feels like his game is slowing down for him when he’s double teaming the post that has led to Major strides as a passer addition out to a career high 68 assists while cutting back on turnovers 74 compared to last year’s 77 now that’s Improvement I get it’s 77 and 74 it’s a small Improvement but it’s still Improvement at the end of the day and one things I do like about it is that Kur high and 68 assists he’s most likely going to get double team he’s the tallest player on the court and that’s why Jo and beid Nicole yic they’re one of the best bigs because they know how to get out of the double team you get double team someone is going to always be open so if you can find your teammates for open shots that’s going to help out his team um so if he can be very very good with this then I think he should be okay in the league but as You’ seen he has approved less turnovers and more assists so that’s definitely a plus for Zack Edan now going into his weaknesses um his footwork lateral movement look quicker he still will be a frequent pick and row Target at the next level like I said that’s what I was saying and this is coming from from a scout this is what I’m personally saying that that I’m worried about but if he can get better with this quicker on his feet then maybe he’ll be fine but till this day Rudy Gober a defensive play of the year who won it three times is still getting targeted a lot of these bigs are still getting targeted and like I said earlier a John Mor an Anthony Edwards these young players are going to attack Zack Edy to the point where it’s like well the coach you can’t really have him on the court so and it says it right here he can get played off the floor trying to keep up with some faster athletic guards and forwards on offense Edie is more coordinated and confident with his left hand but it’s still a weakness it won’t be easy to bully every defender in the post and get to his right hand whatever he wants that’s facts in college you can do that in the NBA it’s not going to happen as much frequently um whenever he wants smarter Defenders will know he wants to turn over his left shoulder for a righty hook or post shot and they’ll be strong and athletic to cut that off and that’s one of his main offensive problems if you can’t score you’re not great on the defensive end what you hear for you get what I’m trying to say so there is still some pros and cons with Zach Ed um on top of that Ed still does almost all the damage around the basket he is not a threat to stretch the floor or face up and shoot his biggest strength is um obviously his size protect the rim get you some rebounds and stuff like that um one of the concerns that I have in this league and one of the things that I didn’t think Zack Ed and Bam could fit together is that bam has improved on his shot but still not the greatest shooter Zack eded is not known as a shooter at all so I don’t think think it will possibly work but if you’re going to take a risk this is a draft that you take the risk at 100% because this draft class people are saying isn’t the greatest draft class but these are the players that we can get the sleepers and like I said earlier the Miami Heat have the 15th and the 43 pick I’m willing to do it I mean even if he comes off the bench we never really had a great reliable backup center we’re relying on Cody Zeller Dwayne deadmond Thomas Bryant Zack e would definitely be um approvement personally in my opinion so um they have him as a mid first round pick which matches up with the Miami Heat 15th overall do I take him that early I’m just not too sure I would take him in the second round but he might not be there so like I said there’s pros and cons it says Eddie Edie helped his draft stock during Purdue’s run to the National Championship cementing his status as a first round pick he looked more mobile ever before and showed his condition had improved only sitting for 4 minutes from the sweet 16 through the title game which is very important his NBA ceiling still feels that um situ and big has played spot minutes in particular matchups but Ed earned a chance to prove himself following a strong senior season so that’s kind of the you know mock projection on Zack Edy the Miami Heat could still possibly get him um but yeah so let us know in the comment sections what do you guys think um do you think his cons are a bigger a problem than his Pros do you think he can get better do you think a spoo system and you know a great coaching staff around him can make Zack Ed look Elite playing with the Miami Heat there’s still a lot of questions the draft is almost here so we will see what happened but like I said I’m willing to take the risk of drafting zacki but once again if you enjoyed today’s video drop a like comment subscribe turn on post notifications once You can’t teach size
You already know there's no chance he will drop to the Heat in the sevond rd (NONE!).
UNLESS A VIDEO COMES OUT ON HIM SMOKING, OR DOG FIGHTING 🐕. 😂
He’s gonna shocked everyone
No on EDDIE, WE NEED A POWER FORWARD.
Ware 1 round
Juan Nunez 2 round
I love how y'all make the thumbnail saying Zack would make the Miami heat the scariest team in the nba. then all you talk about is his negatives. you never said how good of a fit it would be. stop pump faking and talk about how he would make them the scariest team in the league.
I think the heat already sign KEL'EL WARE and JUAN NUÑES at #15 & #43 nba draft so no more ZACK EDEY so i love this move for the heat! Lets go heat! 🔥
Unless he’s playin backup it’s not working with the starting unit besides there are gonna be a lot of centers 2 round besides dj burns lost 45 pounds maybe we can take a swing on him
Our big player development team could make em pretty good we move bam to the 4 and I see it working honestly
I don't like Edey at all but I can probably convince myself I do if it happens
Stop pushing this
Heat would never waste a near lottery pick on him, and he will not go until 43rd pick. Pointless video
