Happened to us in one of the last Denver games too. What a joke.

The angle is not straight above the rim there
schuster9999
I have no idea if it was the right call im confused by how fast it was to review
train345643
It would have hit the rim on the way down. It’s technically the right call but is usually never called.
MrDelly44
When he actually grabs it it’s closer. Like millimeters. I really couldn’t tell because they cut out so quick. Not sure how replay center made the call so fast tbh. But trying to be unbiased it could’ve been BI. Will probably get downvoted but this picture is out of context
foye2smith
Supposedly they have the tennis hawkeye which is why the review was so fast, but the call was apparently made with the intention of reviewing it so the review inherently needs to be clear and convincing.
Seemingly a correct call, but it is funny that a call unseen would be called just so what is unseen could be confirmed… but refs would never just blow the whistle right?
LukaTheTooka
That’s a freaking basket, that moment there pretty much gave the Mavs the game. Also that absolutely RETARDED pass McDaniels made turning the ball over to Luka and then PJ sinks the 3
The_Wise_Yokai
Best part is earlier in the game mavs player popped the ball from under the net and it went in and nothing was called. So technicality on this play but not that and people should know what I’m talking about
Mooming22
Maybe, hard to tell.

I’m confused
Key_Payment_5420
I’m more worried about Edwards lack of interest in driving to the basket. We can’t win with him playing like that.
need2peeat218am
Maybe can go either way. But I’m just mad about the conely “push off”. Ridiculous.

Refs spent more time making sure Conley’s foot was on the line for the 3pt shot after this possession than this…
mustyharris
If they have this new super fancy Hawkeye technology, why don’t they show us that? Weird they don’t let us see what they’re using to determine the call.
Organic_Shelter_2543
Yes. Because that camera angle isn’t dead-on and the review center equipped with Hawkeye technology knows better than you and your pause button.

I swear I see putbacks all the time where the ball looks to be way more over the cylinder than this was

Adopt the Fiba rule yesterday! (once it hits rim it’s fair game)
WESAHST
I won’t complain about a well wistled play. Bad luck the ball didn’t go a little further, and once KAT goes for it, he has to do what he has done.

Is there a PDF somehwere about the ‘rules’ of NBA basketball? How can you goaltend on shot by your own teammate? Wtf is an alley oop then?
What’s odd is that if Dallas had grabbed it when it was inside the perimeter, it would be goaltending and 3 points for MN. But how does this end up being zero points and a turnover for MN? It’s like punishment for doubly good offense 😅
essenceofpurity
I don’t watch basketball at all, and I don’t understand why this didn’t count. Are you not allowed to put the ball in if you’re a Timberwolf.

I mentioned in nuggets sub that Anthony Edwards dunk and stare down of the crowd is a more iconic photo from game 2 over a jokic dunk later games they were pushing. Got banned
It was goaltending. But fuck did I want it to count. Your move Timberwolves sub.
