INSTANT REACTION: Jaylen Brown was on fire in Game 2 vs. Pacers, Celtics take 2-0 series lead

all right another huge knife for Jaylen Brown as we get it to Celtics post game live [Applause] MVP he was getting some of those chance tonight too he was getting some of those chance Celtics get the win 126 110 to Ed house scal take a two nothing series lead with his victory tonight Over Indiana scal your thoughts Jaylen MVP Brown let me fix my iack there you go that’s it that’s all I got to say and he took the match up on seak did his thing love his mindset I like the way Tatum got you know the second half the second half of the second half kind of picked it up yeah JT came up big you know only four points at halftime and you where is he at what he’s going to do he he came out he had 11 in the third something like that um I just and then Derek white can’t say enough about what Derek white was able to do as well so Drew holiday again showing up for the team and I I thought our defense was on point that’s that’s really I thought we locked down defensively we were able to get what we wanted offensively cuz we had patience I mean this was a really good game very little LS throughout this game maybe seak had his moments very little low this is what playoff basketball is supposed to look like the other story line coming out of this game obviously is Tyrese alurn and his health moving forward as he left in the third quarter with left hamstring soreness same hamstring that he dealt with in the regular season but let’s get back to Jaylen brown right now because again you’re talking about the MVP performance scal but 24 four points in the first half Eddie then you see him come out in the second half and just get it rolling once again four of 10 from three 14 of 27 from the field Hugh’s Knight I think that he didn’t settle I think he had an aggressive mindset whether it was getting to the basket or getting to his spot like you know a lot of guys could just catch the ball you got to open three I can settle I’ve seen him catch the ball a lot of times and have a three and say no I’m going to get to my spot I’m going get to where I want to get and I’m going to score the basketball so I thought he was I thought he was phenomenal tonight and exactly what this team needed and you know what people were questioning that that contract you know therez a lot of pocket Watchers out there right yeah and he’s showing right now worth every Penning you know what he scored so many different ways throughout this game inside outside transition pull-ups threes threes off the dribble threes off the catch did it all and I knew he was going to have a matchup and if Indiana continues to focus in on Tatum Brown is going to average over 30 in this series and of course maybe a little extra motivation with the fact that he did not make an all NBA team uh this season after he was second team a year ago but 40 points here for Jaylen Brown and uh you just kind of look at that third quarter there’s a number of different guys you know it seemed like everyone was getting involved when they’re going on that run and kind of pushing away from Indiana they’re getting contributions across the board you know what when you said that extra motivation believe me cuz I kind of forgot about that I forgot about that he that the all NBA came out and he wasn’t on that he was more than deserving to be on that he got snubbed on the def all defensive team and all NBA don’t think that he don’t feel that we know he feel that and he has a point to prove he came out I like you know oh you’re about to say something I say you about to say something you said MVP right you said MVP of the easn confer finals right and if the Indiana Pacers ain’t careful game three they going to get handed to them and we be get your mops your broom all that out I don’t want to jump the gun but you can get your mops and your brooms out because the way that Jaylen Brown is playing I feel like they have zero answer for him I mean just think about it Tyrese hurn was an all NBA [Applause] player how could that J MVP JB MVP we got his revenge today that’s he’s better than those guys and and the national media they don’t recognize it by the way he also had 23 points from Derek white and we’ve got Abby down on the floor she’s got Derek white Derek congratulations I know you guys felt like there was a lot of improvement that could be made after game one what did you like best about this one yeah it’s kind of beat a little more uh keep the keep the guys in front I mean we want to be defensive team and start as an individual defense so that was a a big Improvement and going need to be better uh going forward Jaylen Brown huge once again tonight you think he was playing with a little extra motivation after the all NBA snub he’s Onre 100% got snubbed uh he’s been big big time for us all year both sides of the Court um Big Time snub I don’t I don’t get it I don’t get it we also got to see a little more of the connection between you and Drew holiday in that third quarter how big is it for this team when he’s aggressive offensively he’s been huge for us I mean uh he’s a champion had so much success in this league and um you never doubt him and he always just come through clut for us finally you guys went small for a lot of the fourth what advantages did you find and is that something you can take in a game three Le each game’s different but OA brassette was so big for us and changed the game for us and so shout out for shout out to Brizzy for staying ready like yeah been playing and a allot that but he stayed ready and he was he was big time for us so shout out Brizzy Derek thank you congratulations yeah all right here is the tweet from Adrian Mo narowski which came through late in the game there Pacers all NBA guard Tyrese halberton out for the rest of game two against the Celtics departed with left hamstring sorness halber missed 10 games with a left hamstring strain in January so uh obviously ly a big blow to the Pacers considering what he means to them and you know is you know wasn’t all NBA player here scl whether he deserved to be or not but 16 points uh from nart 10 points from hurn there it is 10 points eight assists from him if he can’t come back that’s going to be really tough sled for this Indiana Pacers team I mean I mean yeah hurn is an engine that goes for sure they probably can’t beat the Celtics fully healthy you’re going to need him out there but you know I’m not concerned with Indiana if we play basketball the way we played today I would be concerned with Indiana if we played like we did in game one game one we got lucky today we imposed our will yeah and at at the end of the day I’m you know that that’s part of the game nobody complained and worried about when the Knicks was out there all banged up half of they team banged up he had the choke shirt you know regie Millers I’m just saying yeah I don’t give a damn they played Milwaukee no Giannis no game for two games the Knicks no OG noi Julius Rando Mitchell Robinson and now now they’re mad that the guy is hurt so I don’t want to hear it no no excuse

Tom Giles, Eddie House and Brian Scalabrine give their instant reaction and analysis to the Celtics’ 126-110 win against the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

  2. Jaylen Brown reminds me of all the HOF Celtics from the 60s. I am old enough and lucky enough to have seen them play live. BR, especially. He's a combination of Sam Jones, KC Jones, Satch Sanders, all the supposed second fiddles in Boston. At its best, it's a team game.

  3. Had to give up watching. Can’t hear what they’re saying with the fan noise. Especially when Chris Forsberg was in the stands. Ridiculous. Fix this. 😒

  4. JAYLEN BROWN A.K.A KATO THE REAL LEADER OF THE CELTICS HE DRIVE'S THE BLACK BEAUTY THE GREEN HORNET JAYSON TATAM SIT'S IN THE BACK THIS IS HOW IT WORKS NO DISRESPECT TO JAYSON BECAUSE THIS ANT BATMAN AND ROBIN…

  5. Great adjustments by Mazzulla putting Oshea in. He played great with energy, defense, and gave Horford rest. Holiday another amazing game he help also getting Tatum easy shot because Tatum was struggling in the beginning of the game, this is another thing that improved from last year.

  6. Trade Tatum while his value is still high. Need another dangerous big like the Timberwolves. Giannis

  7. Great win tonight. JB was terrific, and big time for us. But people have to understand porzingis hasn't been back for like almost a month. So I don't want to hear it. We would still have beaten the heat and thr cavs even them being healthy and if we were healthy.

  8. My guess is tomorrow ESPN will do the Jaylen vs Tatum "who is actually their best player" debate like we've teleported back to 2019.

  9. When Smart got traded away, the big question was who was going to be the locker room leader. I think we all know who it is after tonight..

  10. Hopefully KP can come back for game 3 or 4 so he can adapt back into the game before NBA finals against mavericks/Timberwolves

  11. Man i can't wait for KP to get back and this team really snatch the chip this year!

  12. I want to watch this after every game, but the live fans behind the desk is a terrible option, i get it for the hype but you can hardly hear anything! Get in the studio post match lads

  13. The Celtics only came this far because of an easy road once again. They have a clear path to sweep.

  14. Tatum is a trash ass quitter!!! He looks slow and not interested in the game at all. He was pouting all game crying to the refs and couldn't shoot. He is a joke and needs to be traded after this season. Tatum is a PUSSY!!!!!!!
