The stats match the eye test. Gotta find an adjustment vs lively he flat out disrupted our offense and stifled KAT when he was guarded him. His athleticism deterred us from attacking the rim

I’m gonna be real if we’re getting cooked by this guy we need to at least start putting him on the line because he’s a 50% FT shooter and I want more free chicken

  2. Formal_Junket_1585

Crazy our supermax bigs let a 20 year old out play and outwork em

  3. HowlAtTheSky

Got worked by a rookie and a guy the Wizards didn’t want. Hopefully a wakeup call for them

Impossible to adjust. Mavs in 4 unfortunately.

They were ready. We were not.

They played better defensively than we did.

We also let them off the hook by settling for threes and stopped being aggressive and attacking the cup.

If all of that continues, we’re going to be eliminated.

No team that plays a Game 7 wins game 1 of the next series if their opponent played fewer than 7.

    Wolves in 5.

    *Edit for typo*

  7. His defense wasn’t even what was impressive about him. He absolutely killed us on the boards, particularly on the offensive glass.

He was a factor but with how our guys were playing, all of them were looking better defensively. Look at the lack of effort rebounding or moving without the ball. They were gassed or cocky but I don’t see things going the same tomorrow

Why did they go away from dishing to Gobert on the roll? He was getting their entire front line in foul trouble.

He’s going to be a problem. I was watching him last series like “DAMN this guys a rookie?!!” Carried that last OKC game too

I just wish we would try to draw more fouls

Honestly, I underestimated lively. I thought we had multiple answers to his defense, I still think we do. But, it depends on if the team shows up.

Honestly, the Mavs played out of their ass last night, no way in hell that play is sustainable. No way is Kyrie gonna hit almost every shot and no way Ant keeps having bad games. Last night was a tough loss but there’s no way what they did last night is gonna continue. They had a lot of lucky breaks and the game landed in there favor. Wolves in 6

  14. Livelys great. High motor. Active. Lol really lives up to his name. Fun to watch when he’s not playing my team.

  15. popo_karimu

The biggest team that’s supposed to be pounding in the paint decided they’d play like Golden State Warriors. Lol

I mean if Lively is a threat we might as well just pack it in. I believe that game 1 was a mishap.

Why can’t kat play stretch when vs lively? Either lively is taken from the rim, or kat gets open bombs.

  18. coleslonomatopoeia

Some of that is misleading just because we didn’t do anything on purpose in the interior for long stretches. Felt like everything was focused on corner and 45 degree three attempts. They need to do a bit more post up work with KAT when Rudy is out and a lot more of that pick and roll stuff when Rudy is in. Several possessions ended in forced shots inside on broken plays.

  19. Their bigs were highly impressive and they bodied ours overall. We have to match that, if we can’t we are cooked.

Imo ANT needs to lead the charge and get IN there and get some fouls on the mavs bigs. That would be a huge advantage since gobert is pretty elite at contesting without fouling at the other end. The team as a whole needs to be aggressive and not settle.
