so the t- wolves are actually a little bigger favorite tonight than they were for game one they’re up from four and a half Point favorites to five and a half Point favorites tonight kesan you have Minnesota in six which means they need to win four of the next five do they snap out of it and win game two as the odds makers expect I I I do I I I do think that they’re going to snap out of it and and when you are at home you know that you have to take care of business because you don’t want to go to to Dallas because if you go to to Dallas you probably going to wind up being in trouble but right there what coach was speaking to is similar to what Paul said yesterday when you get you remember when Paul said you get to the film sessions you sitting there with your head now you don’t even want to look at the film because you already know right on when from the time the game was over to the time you actually went to the restaurant to the time you went home oh they didn’t go to the restaurant you know a couple dudes probably went to go bite to eat cuz they whatever they but by the time they laid down in that bed they already knew oh God I did this I don’t need to man I don’t want to go in in the morning and then what he just said said immaturity stop feeling yourself who you think he talking to who you think he talking to talking to the main guy he is he he might be talking to you to let it rochade off you and bounce to they really have only one young player exactly exactly and that’s okay he didn’t call him out by name he didn’t do and got that message believe me he got it loud and clear cuz in the film room he put the Red Dot on him without even mentioning his name and said hey if we do this we do that if if this guy would have spin out of this that’s what that’s how they do it to get your attention and now he’s got his team’s attention and he knows game two it’s going to be different for him it’ll be different for him oh man you know what originally yesterday I I thought you know maybe this would be a bounceback game for Minnesota but the more more I look at it and I watched a little more a replay of the game yesterday last night I’m just not sure with the way Minnesota been playing at home you know they’ve lost three or four at home Ant-Man hasn’t been playing that well you know he had a a 28o game I believe in game six didn’t play well in game seven uh hasn’t been shooting the ball particularly well and with Jason kid his defensive philosophy and his defensive schemes and I know he was going to come with something a little different I haven’t se I didn’t see the Zone the first game I’m not sure the way that Minnesota is built with gobear can stop Dallas now Dallas has shown the ability to they they can defend I mean just flat out skip they not when you first look at them you think offense that’s all you think but since the trade they’ve been fourth in defense opponent’s field goes percentage and they’ve been defensive rating fifth yep that can get it done that can win the NBA championship that can get you to the finals and if we already talking about they got the two best offensive back court that a lot of us have ever seen or maybe of all time that can get it done too I just see a immature team and I know there’s veterans on the team but your star you go as he goes I think Dallas wins this next game at in Minnesota I do if they if they win tonight then I think they I think they do I think Kyrie has reinvented himself I think he wants this more than anybody we already know who Luca is I I truly believe that they they they find a way to win a close game in Minnesota it’s going to be Ruckus crowd in there and Antman Antman should play better but I just I I don’t know what I’m GNA get out of Carl towns he’s been struggling and and if they want to win this an adjustment I would real I would really make I would start Nas Reed I would truly start him yesterday I would start him because go over goar because for one if you don’t trap the pick and roll and you got Gil bear sitting back in the pick and roll on Luca all night like this right here he’s just gonna he’s just gonna shred you apart because he’s getting the lob he’s getting the mid-range he’s getting the step back from three and if you get NZ Reed you could you could kind of switch that now if you put Anthony Edwards on Lucas switch I think truly believe that Anthony Edwards was worn down from going through too many picks and they all involved Rudy goar so if you allow Nas Reed to play and you switch to pick and rolls and allow Edwards to to take the role man he won’t be worn down as much from going through so many picks all game and and a save his energy for the offensive end that’s just my opinion but I think Dallas wins if they don’t make these adjustments so you have Dallas going up 20 yes I do and then would you say it would be a sweep no I don’t think they’re GNA sweep him I think they go up to in five I think maybe they find a way to get one game okay but I I I just think they win tonight and and I think in five they win all right I’m going to stick with my pick I said Maverick’s in six which means I I already said I thought Dallas could steal one game and they they pretty much did in game one so I’m going to say that you will be correct Minnesota will bounce back but what this man just said Has Mar and validity to it and credibility to it because this is scary for the home team yeah it is and I’ll tell you why it’s scariest to me if you look hard at Luca’s road playoff record he is the ultimate NBA Road Warrior he is but he doesn’t look the part he doesn’t look intimidating to me he’s constantly crying and whining to the referees and and then he’s giggling about I made a shot I made a shot and and the Persona doesn’t fit Road Warrior to me and there’s something about him that you kesan can’t quite wrap your arm around except if you look at the results on the road of Luca donic in his 23 playoff games which is a pretty good sample size on the road since he entered this league he is by far the best scorer on the road in playoff games in the league today of all the players who have been in the league since he was in the league he’s averaging on the road 338 and eight but more important on the road he’s making 39% of his three-point shots he’s never been much of a three-point shooter during regular seasons until this year he got better he got up to 38 but if this is 23 road playoff games in which he’s averaged 39% shooting from three yeah well that’s just a killer because if you give him that weapon in his Arsenal then then it’s like well it’s not fair because we know what he can do when he gets in the lane and we know what he can do if he gets one foot in the lane and does his little step back that’s that’s why I say skip if they lose tonight it’s over with yeah it’s over if they lose a night I don’t care if they still won later on or they not going to win the series so here’s my point Luca is 11 and 12 on the road which is really good listen listen it’s just really good it’s hard 500 the road yeah yeah okay so there’s something in his nature where he loves to to turn down the sound on the road and you made the point yesterday it probably comes from his two or was it three years of pro ball EUR it’s the Euro Le because there there’s smoking and it’s it’s it’s hostile thing I’ve ever seen I’ve been over there and you have you’re on cuz you you’re afraid somebody’s going to jump on you know run on cour smoking cigarettes in the St I’m telling you our NBA don’t compare to this I mean they got organized chance exactly crazy you know you speak to his Road performance if you think about it he complains Less on the road he’s more focused on the road than he is at home yeah he complains at home like no other on the road he just plays basketball he might give you a one or two complaint but it doesn’t turn into back forward up and down the court like it does at home okay so Dallas is now 5-2 on the road in these playoffs and they’ve won their last three in a row on the road okay well you don’t think he’s just spoiling to spoil the night tonight in Minnesota you don’t think wherever he is in his hotel right now he’s thinking I’m going to stick it to these guys absolutely absolutely I don’t see no complacency in him he’s like you know usually you get a player that’s like all right we got one we let’s get back home now we got I see him as a stone cold killer and he wants both of these games he he got he don’t show it in his face because he smile a lot but he got a lot of he got he got a lot of that Kobe Bryant in him he does he got a lot of you say that and I agree but it doesn’t look look he doesn’t look the part but when you see his game and how he just hits these dagger shots constantly on the road and just looks at you and then sometimes stares into the camera that I see the look of Kobe Bryant so remember against the Clippers in the first round they came out here thanks to Luca mostly and they won game two and game five at Clippers and then against my thunder they go to Oklahoma City and win game two and game five against the Thunder and it it it’s what tilted that Series in favor of them yeah and then they just won game one at Minnesota that makes them five- two on the road well it’s mostly because of him all of his biggest games are coming on the road so if you get a burst from Kyrie tonight and then a close from Luca you got you got problems man problems yeah they will have problems if they get a duplicate of game one that’s what happened in game one but what I would say is ant-man’s got to play better which he knows yeah and so does cat cat’s got to play better which he knows and if not then they going home ski it’s as simple as that it’s not it’s not hard to read it’s not hard to read at all so they they got punished and bullied that they got out out Mann and I underscore the man in game one in ways that I never thought were possible Rudy Rudy Gober can have seven rebounds and he’s playing the majority of the minutes when you got a rookie and Lively coming in and playing 20 what what was it 23 24 minutes yeah and getting 11 boards yeah you how how you going to have that happen and I’m paying you $50 million and you the defensive player of the year come on man stop that it’s in the positions where you need kind of a little bit of Youth you know you need a little bit of Youth you know with the way they shoot the three uh at the power forward or the center one or the other you know they’re a little older Minnesota to where now these young spry legs for Minnesota I mean for for for Dallas is just jumping over him getting to the ball getting to longer rebounds faster tip dunks remember Derek Jones J he he won the Slam Dunk Contest I mean they got live legs they’re a more athletic team clearly you know and and that can means something cuz they’re faster to the ball they’re they’re more aggressive I mean connley is no longer the fastest guy out there anymore so when you got guys like Kyrie chasing down long rebounds and yeah and Derrick Jones Jr who’s flying over the rim and getting out on the break and then green he comes off the bench for Dallas and he’s active so they just look like the more spry team and so tonight is really going to be a testament and I truly believe Dallas will win they win tonight it’s over if Minnesota is going to win all these stats have to turn around they have to be turned upside down it was 62 to 38 points in the paint that that cannot happen when you got the three-headed monster that Minnesota has rebounds were 48- 40 I I don’t think you can win tonight at home unless you win the board right okay yeah absolutely and the blocks this shocked me also Dallas had eight blocks to five for Minnesota and I know Rudy mostly changes shots as opposed to block shots but still eight to five and then finally Derek Lively a rookie comes off the bench and he is a game high plus 19 in his time on the floor because he just created Havoc yeah he’s a Difference Maker he’s he he’s 7 feet one inches tall and he comes in with that youthful just kid energy it’s it’s like it’s like kid in the park energy where he just running and and smashing into people right yeah and their front line is Stout and I think they took the challenge I think they took a lot of pride in just busting up Minnesota because Minnesota looks tall and and yet they don’t play as tall as they they should right they got the names they got the names you know when you look at the names of it towns you know he’s an allar go go he’s Defensive Player of the Year and re six man of the year but then you look at the names on the flip side of they front line you wouldn’t even know them and and only reason people know him because they in the Conference Finals yeah well I I barely knew him until they got traded for by Dallas like Daniel Gafford I barely knew he was PJ Washington I mean he was playing his role over he was he was decent I mean you know you you tend to go with what you know but these guys right here they they hungry I’m telling you Dallas is hungry and and I think they got the better players the better Superstars yep so Kean yes scale of one to 10 how confident are you that Minnesota will win tonight I’m at a 10 are you really yeah tonight tonight okay yeah they not they’re not gonna go back to first of all they shot the ball poorly Ant-Man didn’t even try to penetrate and drive he did not okay he set to do with the scheme that no I understand I understand that but now you as you told me Paul this words out your mouth when you lose you make adjustments when you win you good you don’t make very many adjustments you just kind of roll with it so they got to they watch their film session they’ve got to make the adjustments they got to watch that film and and man’s got to sit there and go no man I gotta I gotta just I gotta go through the Gap I got to be able to get to the cup it there were four or five times I thought he had a half step and he he just shrank back yeah but but now that watching that film he knows hey I got to do this fin knows okay they gonna trap him in the corner I gotta get open so I can knock down my shot Rudy goar’s got to be more aggressive he knows that hey Lively is coming in the game he’s going to be trying to pound the boards I got to become more aggressive towns knows he’s got to become more aggressive that’s why I believe the second time around they gonna get it corrected now I didn’t say now if they lose this game that’s a totally different conversation when they go to Dallas but they gota they got to even a score at home 1-1 before they get on the plane to go to Dallas I’m just have to I I I’m just Disturbed when the coach comes to me in a Conference Finals and say look I I uh our attitude our effort yeah our maturity those words are disturbing to me when we get to the conference F that shouldn’t be a question at this point in the season you know what I’m saying look it should be about our execution our our our learning how to how to execute down the stress learning how to win like it shouldn’t have nothing to do with attitude and effort but all that goes conning but all that goes hand in hand if you immature and you’re not processing the information that’s given to you all that is the results of what you put on the floor that’s all he’s trying to that’s all he’s saying to him and in particular he’s probably like I said he’s really talking to Ant-Man as far as I can he was you know yeah cuz maturity and you know in in and feeling yourself that sound like yeah you talking to a young guy not an older veteran I agree his his big picture point was I it’s been a long time since I was so disappointed in my team because we didn’t play with any energy or effort and they theer they didn’t get the memo you know it’s it’s game one of the you didn’t get the memo and the energy Guy game one memo all that points to my star player because we expect for him to be the engine that drives the drives the bus all right or the duck bus or whatever y’all call it Bost that is correct okay so here’s the final number that has to flip tonight or you’re in big trouble and that is 63- 35 that was Luca and Kyrie over ant and Cat okay you you have to flip that your two best have to outscore their two best tonight or you’re or even if you don’t I’ll score him at least even it you you better be close man yeah you better be close closer than what that was in game one yeah because look you got Jade McDaniels going n of 15 you get 24 out of McDaniel the game you supposed to win because you expect your stars to be stars but when both of your stars don’t show up and your
