So… what is the message from the article? What’s the message that Melo is trying to send? That he was trying to be “big bro” to Lin and he was the good guy and didn’t hate Lin? So Lin didn’t want to get involved with endorsement deals… so what. Some people don’t like the limelight. Maybe he just wanted to ball. I don’t hate Melo, I don’t hate Lin. In fact Melo was my favorite college player and I loved every minute of Linsanity. So that’s my message.

You gotta watch the actual episode. Baron said and Melo confirmed they held a team meeting to discuss who the “face of the team” was 😂🤣😂🤣 bro said this without a hint of embarrassment…

Like could you imagine being in the home stretch of the season, fighting for a playoff spot, and the players are meeting to discuss who the “face of the team” is???

I ain’t mad at melo and I ain’t mad at Lin. I’m still tight at Amare for punching that god damn mother fucking fire extinguisher though ngl

Melo is in every damn commercial now. Guess another year another Knick in the final

  5. Why do we still talk about Jeremy Lin? Had a hot streak for 11 games or some shit and then was back to below average and didn’t want to play after being cleared because he was figured out and didn’t want to hurt his contract. Thank god we let him walk.

This is the shit I laugh at because it was obvious to anyone who wasn’t like 10 when Carmelo was here and therefore don’t have that blissful childhood ignorance with the Melo era. 7 should never be in the rafters. He didn’t do shit for this franchise besides setup the Melo brand.

Never cared for Melo. I actually find it irritating that he’s so beloved.

What I hated about Linsanity was Linsanity itself I love Jeremy Lin the player not Linsanity bc its unrealistic and the media was ready to shut the door on it like it was a circus act not an actual talented player. Like the game against the Big 3 Miami Heat he got clamped then everyone was calling him trash. Like shit bruh cant have a bad game damn😂. Its like they were waiting for that shit.

I really wish Lin was able to be in NY for many yrs. It broke my heart when he tore his patella tendon in BK he was really looking like he was gon break out.

So the most interesting thing about this thread is that its very evident that while this sub hates Melo and loves Brunson…….they are very much the same player.

Go compare Melo’s 2013 season to this season with Brunson…..they played the same number of games, and look at their stat lines.

They’re the same player…..which is why I can’t take this sub seriously.

Lmfao guy spewing nonsense. He’s either saying the nba is theatre and Lin coulda been part of it or Melo is just straight capping and trying to save his legacy. Let’s be real. Melo was a prolific scorer absolutely nothing else.

I love Jeremy more now and Melo a lil less. NgL

Michael Jordan fucked up a whole fucking generation of kids. The MJ hype was so insane the wheaties, dream team, the shoes, snl, and fucking space jam. Made a whole lotta kids wanna be like mike. Michael Jordan however did not play fundamentally pure basketball game. He was great at what he did and the era in which he played however he was brand and the commercialization hurt the sport severely. It has only been recently with kids growing up on Steph Curry are you seeing the end of the Jordan-Kobe-Lebron era.

Melo and LeBron have both chased Jordan shadow for 20 years. And no one is more bitter than Melo.

And guess who got their first championship 😂

Love Melo and his contributions to NY but this just shows how selfish of a player he was. He was actually threatened by Jeremy Lin and his popularity instead of being happy that another player is stepping up and helping the team win. He only cares about winning if it’s him that is the cause of the winning.

For anyone that doesn’t want to blog about hating Melo, the podcast segment on the Knickstape era is great. Apparently STAT was the one who (accidentally) coined it, I always figured it was Shumpert.

We need that Kobe-Shaq sitdown with Melo and Lin.
