You quite literally could not get a better view of the foul

Ant and KAT played like shit but we still win that game if was remotely reffed fair. Sucks that we end up on the losing end of that battle so often. And it sucks to know the NBA isn’t going to do anything to be better.

The refs always gonna be against MN sports. Just how it is

“Subtle yet effective” – Reggie Miller

This is what I’m saying. I don’t care about the challenge of who caused it to go out of bounds. You’re telling me you’re 2 feet away and can’t see Kyrie’s hand slapping Jaden’s arm? Everyone in here is saying this wasn’t the deciding factor of the game sure. I get it. But man this was a huge momentum swing for Dallas.

Could we have challenged that it was a foul?

Like that foul the Mavs challenged earlier was changed to Conley.

Or can we only challange a foul?

None of these rules the NB has makes any sense. Well actually they do (ahem- rig games to go certain way).

  6. PlayInChampions

Name one game in Wolves history when refs helped them and they won. Just one.

  7. _nokturnal_

NBA doing everything they can to avoid Pacers-Wolves.

  8. Daconvix

Missed call but if the team didn’t blow an 18 point lead they wouldn’t have even been in this position to begin with

  9. Superpanda20

NBA needs to change this rule. If it’s challenged and there’s a foul they shouldn’t be allowed to completely ignore that there was a foul. He was obviously fouled and they got the ball because of it 🙄

Reminds me of the view the ump had looking straight down the foul line and called Joe Mauer’s hit foul vs the Yankees years ago.

  11. Aksudiigkr

I agree 100%, but just want to say I can’t believe the wolves didn’t drive for a makeup call. Surely they would know that’s a likelihood, plus driving is a safer choice on a final play anyway

  12. The_Wise_Yokai

Best part is the ref technically made 2 wrong calls here which is why there was a successful challenge. Thats next level

  13. Paranoid_purple12

He intentionally didn’t call the foul and everyone knows it. This should not be allowed to happen. There’s about a 1% chance that he actually thought Kyrie got ball.

  14. Salmol1na

Cost us the game a possibly the season. Nice.

  15. Jithyjens

What’s wild to me is that Kyrie is the one that got their bench to challenge. He knew damn well that he just committed an obvious foul on Jaden, and Dallas had no business getting the ball there. He also knew the review rule and that he didn’t touch the ball, so I guess it’s a smart move on his part but completely dishonorable at the same time.

The magnktude of this play is completely understated regardless of how much its going to be talked about. Instead they parade luka on stage postgame amd it isnt evem brought up. It wont be remembered by anyone, it wont matter, and it wont change shit. In the WCF a supposed world class referee missed am obvious call from 5 feet away unobstructed and cost a team a game in the Westerm conference finals. Yeah we blew an 18 point lead, yeah ant threw the ball away, yeah luka hit a crazy shot, but going up 4 with 45 seconds left changes the game completely. But no, the terrible team i have rooted for for my entire life gets fucked amd i just have to swallow it.

  17. First time getting in to basketball in years were the last two games. Honestly so frustrating I don’t think I’ll be back

  18. Alexanaxela

Damn, Ant prolly should have drove hard to the rim on their next possession to get the obvious make up call

  19. Phenom_Mv3

I don’t know why people are complaining about this. They had a 17 pt lead at home in a pivotal game 2, they only have themselves to blame

  20. Firesword52

This is why not falling fouls and giving makeup bullshit doesn’t work.

They did the same thing with the mauling of Conley the time down before the first challenge. Just make the call don’t do this light bullshit.

  21. Iamtomcruisehi

His wifes sister put 500k on the mavs prolly

  22. Quality-Think1219

Another frustrating part of the Replay is that I’m not sure you can definitively say the ball didn’t go off of Luka. Every angle they showed on the broadcast showed the ball go close to Lukas hand but every angle was either blocked by a fan or had his fingers off screen. Because the call on the court was wolves ball, that could have been the thing they hung their hat on. But nope, they gave Dallas the ball. Officiating in the NBA is a disaster

  23. mucoalytic

SVG was right in saying that the refs should’ve reviewed the entire play but the challenge was for out of bounds; that rule should be reviewed this off-season.

  24. BowlOfLoudMouthSoup

I forget this is why I get so down on the NBA. Officiating is so clearly biased for the bigger stars

  25. OutsideAd1823

To be fair. Dallas missed the shot after that. It was Ant’s unwarranted turn over pass to court side fans and the coach’s dumb decision to put Gobert on an island with Luka that cost them the game.

  26. StevenComedy

Mavs fan here. That was a horrible missed call. NBA officiating garbage.
