come out on that defensive possession yeah I told the life set a screen cuz they’re going to switch and then we we wanted that yeah Rudy sucks not me what I do again I didn’t do anything what going at me for you did it to them not me you know uh hey go home we’ll see y’all next year um you know you know Draymond asked you a great question y’all wasn’t gonna go for the win unless they switch correct were you surprised they switched I was a little bit yeah actually uh I think they were going like uh just no threes uh so he tried to stay up U but I saw that space and get to my spot so as a guard when the big guy switches do you say to myself I’mma wiggle them jiggle them shoot a jumper or I’m going try to get to the lane or you know have the defense draw and then kick it to somebody else uh I think that depends who’s guarding me uh you know there’s a lot you had the defensive player of the year on you yeah I mean he’s long you know uh he can’t move uh I can’t move fast but I can move faster than him so like I said just get to my spot man so you you you guys have really closed out in the last minute of a half of both games what is what has been the difference between tonight and the other night one how do you decide if it’s Kyrie that’s going to close it out you’re going to close it out or it’s always you closing it out at the end of the game no uh we don’t decide uh we just see what defense give us uh Kai told me you know I’m going to be there if you need me uh so sometimes next time they’re going to double me probably K is going to be open or other way around so we just figure what the defense give us and lastly that’s what I double up you don’t get to say last that’s Ernie job part for me lastly for me is there anyone in the world you would have felt uncomfortable if is there anyone in the world that you would have been uncomfortable with the ball oneon-one down the stretch oh I don’t know I don’t know no no not really that’s the same you would have felt the same way if anybody’s what he’s trying to get at LCA was that you would have you would have done anyone like you did Rudy and we all agree you’re you’re one of the best players that we have in this league that’s that’s no argument but that one was just a like that was an open shot you didn’t see the contest cuz you created so much space yeah I mean uh like I said before get to my spot uh probably you know uh some players got me better some players got me worse so you know just trying to trying to play basketball luuka how have you guys managed to keep Anthony Edwards in check tough uh he’s an amazing player but uh you know Derek Jones and PJ you know they’ve been doing an amazing job the whole playoffs uh like I said they never complain they just play basketball and those guys you need on a team uh and live Gafford you know everybody and those are the guys you need on your team you know uh you’re confident with them and it’s just amazing feeling to play with I once played for a coach that said if the generals Don’t Panic the troops won’t Panic what does it say about your team that even when you get down double digit lead you guys have no Panic and you just you know keep it close keep it close and then after you know opportune time you guys find a way to win I think it shows how confident are we you know especially in the group uh the whole group uh Stay Together positive energy and just play on it’s a long game uh it’s never lost till the last buzzer so let me ask you a question y’all were kind of lack of days ago the first half what was that little three four minute stretch right before the half what did y’all you I see you shaking your head that woke y’all up and got you into the game cuz y’all were down 18 cut it to 12 cut it and then you but but that even though you you got it to 12 but your energy level picked up did y’all talk about that at halftime yeah definitely uh that was our talk mostly all uh we got stops and we play with place with Pace uh and we box out we needed to box out they had a lot of offensive rebounds uh so that’s those three four minutes you know gave us energy for the second half and let let me let me ask you too I mean you’ve got enough there’s a lot of credit to go around for the pieces that you have but a guy who is so aptly named as Derek Lively because man does he give you energy and what what he gives you on the floor amazing uh you wouldn’t think he’s a rookie uh he’s doing all this stuff while being a rookie which is insane especially in the Western Conference Finals uh we’re just glad we’re really glad that we draft to him and his ceiling is so high that I can’t even explain he’s giving you Daniel Gafford kind of field goal percentage he’s 10 for 10 in the series so far far my last question the addition of PJ and Gafford I said at the trade deadline you guys had the best best trade deadline what have those two guys cuz they both have taken y’all to a whole another level how have they impacted you and the rest of the team um both sides both sides of the ball uh you know gaffer he can jump uh he got uh he protects our Rim uh like Lely too and P is just playing hard and knocking down threes and guarding their best or second best player and that give us all energy Luca donic leads everybody in the uh stop it Shack man I’m sorry wrong language said what my bad my bad Luka leads everybody in the postseason in triple doubles our American Express triple double tracker will reflect that he gets his fifth of this postseason uh man you pretty good five times D you bet all the
